I know that you're not a troll and mind u not all of us here worship our paddle shift either. Saw many ppl excited getting this car, just gave them the chance to drive they quickly shift to S / manual mode without thinking trying to paddle shift all the way without thinking about the FC as well as their safety. Don't get so butthurt when u heard some of us here claim with paddle shift we can just "tap tap" our way & overtake other ppl or reach max speed edy. They're just excited with their ride.

Sorry if what I said earlier seems kinda harsh/butthurt but what I'm emphasizing here, not all of us are able to differentiate/appreciate the true feeling of paddle shift. Unlike dares, Junn here, or maybe mat79, duan or anybody else who seems to have a wide knowledge regarding car, I believe u'll find most of us here just bought this car with hope that everything is functioning properly as well as provide them with a little bit more safety compared to others.

This is all however my 2 cents only. Cheers mate
Unfortunately test drove the new inspira (the one they reduced the price to boost their selling number). Felt more or less the same at least to me who's not pro.

Agreed with the bold part.

However, my father bought Latio sedan last 2/3 weeks. The steering is indeed uber light but when the speed reach 100km/h there's an electronic assist that wil make the steering sort of 'heavier'... I kinda like that features though as it helps to stabilize your driving only when u're speeding. If u just start ur car just to drive 5km away to buy cigarette with heavy steering, damn it really kills the mood.

to me doesn't matter dvt or cvt or watever t, toy-like or not... as long as it is design to meet 5stars safety rating and value for money biggrin.gif

Just came back from SC after spending one hour relating my problems and test drive for them. They were very patient to give me all the time I want. They try to get everything fixed by Friday so I am going to miss my preve for 2 nights.

Yup, I promised to give them a review if they take good care of my baby. I will publish my 5 pages as Part 1 when I get back to office.

I also told them I have given a good review of the car too. If you don't mind, can you please put my review link at the first page if it deserves a spot. Thanks.

I'm same page with u. Willing to fork out extra money for extra safety & features especially the extra airbags, leather seats, reverse camera & better sound insulation for the engine. My wife & I also like the electric power steering..very light steering effort at stationary or low speed, heavier at high speed in which i wish the Preve has it (it can saves fuel too).

Sigh..no light also for fold/unfold button on my car. Initially i though mine is defective..but after confirmation from others, it's indeed normal. sweat.gif

guys, wouldn't it be easier if everyone have their chassis no. (for e.g.: 12xx) put in their siggy, so that we can right away knows whether our preve may subject to those minor issue?

those who have 5xxx - 6xxx chassis no. any issue found?

window shld stop when it close on something in between.
rather than keeps going up till the sausage break.

edit: Anti-trap technology on power windows will detect an object in the path of the closing window and reverse the direction of the window

eh, looks nice la...
but would this void the warranty?
seeing that our airbags are at the side of the driver and front passenger seat...

i think it is custom made, so can design to have an opening at the side.
but expensive, 3k plus, hmm i just lost 4k in stocks, so maybe next year install leather, or wait till preve SE got leather version then perhaps can get cheaper from proton.

always refer to chassis number, engine consider as parts, hmm, so engine number 8xxx may subject to defect.

Added on June 14, 2012, 1:30 pmfor the headlights issue, were everyone affected as well?

was it the battery terminal lossen, or battery not powerful enough, or battery lousy?

using VS, is it simple to diy? won't void warranty?

I've contacted the TS for that d'Schweizer Leather Wrap & below is what he quoted to us after discount:

Pasubio Leather (All seats with door panel)

1) Qtr Leather RM1400
2) Half Leather RM1700
3) Full Leather RM2100

Nappa Leather (All seats with door panel)

Those who's interested can refer to below link:

wow cheaper...now that's tempting.

how about armrest front and rear.
wonder can add-on gear knob and steering wheel?
what else can add?

Edit: add handbrake also.

hmm, how about the on top of dashboard? i think that will cost a bit more. nvm noted all these down and re-visit again once ready to install leather.

Sorry to say I disagree with this advise. For my car which I transfer my 55% NCD, i cancelled the insurance 2 days before i get my new car.
When u accident, u can choose to claim or not to claim. Depend on the severity of damage. Does not concern ur NCD.
Technically, a car without insurance is not allowed OTR. what if you hit someone and cause damage to both cars total 10k? No insurance sure u kalah and rugi. Need pay own pocket to fix own car and other party car. And new Preve insurance only 2k+.. i will happily sacrifice the 1k+ (55%).
Do not simply cancel ur car insurance unless u plan to park it at home till u receive ur new car.
*
i think he meant, cancel existing and get a new insurance for the old car, as the premium for older car is cheaper.
use current ncd for new car.
