Mine is AF-D two touch version. Its mostly the very soft focus issue at F2.8. Mine was pretty bad, 180mm onwards cant really use F2.8 because it'll turn out all fuzzy and only usable F5.6 above. After repair everything is okay now

Added on July 30, 2012, 11:25 amI have a friend few years ago asked me to about photography he had an entry level d3000 or something like tat. I told him if your really into photography, and plan to pursue it, get the best your money can buy. then he change to d90, then d300, then d700 and now d3. Just under 1 years time. he is a casual shooter, but shoots every weekend. wakes up early for landscapes, shoot portraits, shoot events, shoot night scenes. And enjoying every moment of it. Nothing wrong with that.
So for me, its always if you got the money, go for the better gear. Always remember, YOU set your budget (or your finance minister for a lot of people eheheh) The common reason i hear from people is that '
I'll buy the cheapest, because I dont know if I got the talent for it and I might not like photography as a hobby." if dont like, can sell.. right... have you seen the used dSLR pricing ? Id rather get a better gear and if not suitable, sell also got more value.

thats my thinking anyways. no offense.
