I'm using eneloop Harmolattice 2500mAh on Nissin DI622MII and also yongnuo yn-560 ... both can go 500-600 shots i think. Because I use whole day on event no problem. tongue.gif
Of course not at 1/1 power all the time la. The DI622MII one was on TTL and the Yongnuo 560 just for fill or background light.

I love my eneloops for sure. All my wireless triggers use eneloop AAA's (normal 900mAh) too ..hehe

the Harmolattice or XX have higher capacity (2500mAh) but lesser recharge cycles (500 cycles). tongue.gif
the normal one (white) have 2000mAh but higher recharge cycles. About 1500 cycles i think.

Nissin Di622MII & Yongnuo 560I/II uses Canon 580EX diffuser. Can fit nicely.

I take product photos too .. but I only use 3 tesco lamps (1 of it put in softbox) ...then one flash just in case if i need to make fill light. (Nissin Di622MII & Yongnuo YN-560. laugh.gif smile.gif
*Of coz tesco lights is just cheapo light and not enough power but it works just fine. hehe. but i shoot raw lah and edit in LR later.
Been thinking to buy a proper strobe/light and stuff but i think u still can use cheapo lights if done properly and a little tweaks.
A strong light & softbox will surely help a lot for your product shots.

love my 16-85 ...i'm keeping it ..hehe.
but i never tried 18-70 before myself. Tried 18-200 but i prefer 16-85 better. felt a tad bit faster, smooth focusing and sharper too. just like many site review said about 16-85.
i bought it used for rm1.7k .. since i got it, 18-55 kit lens always kept in drybox ..1yr+ dy ..haha.

I've taken it out sometime ago by pointing something small enough to go into the two holes on the left and top. But still quite tricky.

"I have removed it.The two visible clips, LHS and top looking at the adaptor pins, have small semi-circular rebates. By pushing a pointy thing (straightened large paper clip) into the left hand one, the plastic latch can be released enough to start to ease the adaptor off. Pushing the same paperclip into the top one and gently levering the latch upwards, away from the charger, releases the top latch and the adaptor can be pulled away. The separated components are much easier to store in the limited space available in the Nikon bag and you don't need to take the adaptor with you if travelling in Europe."

I'm using D5100 with 35mm 1.8G / 18-55mm. I'm looking to get an external flash. Yongnuo or Nissin? Due to tight budget so I'm opting for 3rd party one. Anyone can recommend? Thanks in advance. smile.gif

nissin di622mII (TTL) or yongnuo yn-565ex (TTL) these two should be good and cheap'er' than nikon speedlites. smile.gif

bought my DI622MII for rm460 ...
For yongnuo's around the same price. I sold my 565EX units for rm440 recently, but now I don't have anymore stock for 565EX.

feature + consistency wise, SB600 (or any nikon speedlites) is of coz better lor ... power wise the nissin and yongnuo is actually equally powered or more than SB600 (the guide number and real life power output, this is from what reviews I read). You can check some reviews at http://speedlights.net/

If u can push a bit more on the budget, SB600/700 is a good choice. One time kawtim. But if budget is a constraint, nissin or yongnuo is not bad for the price. smile.gif
