I'm really unsure if i should get a Spigen Flex HD for my S3 because the current cheap screen protectors that I'm using (first Nillkin then a free one from Baseus) have bubbles on the edge of the screen protector thats really bugging me.. RM75 is really expensive for me cry.gif

i'm very interested in getting a full-protection screen protector for my S3 but i've never done a wet application before. It would be great if you share your experience after you've done rclxms.gif

YouDontKnowMyName:

After applying and dried, the effect is like a strecthed cling firm wrap on ur mobile. Oleophobic still the best in the market, unfortunately it doesn't cover whole screen.

On top of that, because it is so closed to the phone edges, when u put some case on, the edges will get pushed up.

Very disappointed with this SP (Spigen SGP FlexHD)
*
oh thanks for your reply.. that sucks, RM75 gone down the drain rclxub.gif

I'm currently using cheaper ones like Nillkin and for some reason, the edges of the screen protector don't stick (due to the curved glass) even though it doesnt cover up the front fully. So confused on what i should get now cry.gif

I just completed the SGP Flex HD application, one word i can describe = nightmare, will see how its go next couple of days

That's horrible shocking.gif
so this product is highly NOT recommended? I guess it's pretty much impossible to find a FULL screen protector for the S3 then cry.gif

Nillkin SP is so reputable?
*
From my experience, I used the nillkin SP before, and it came off after 4 days.
Why? because the edges of the SP won't stick due to the curved display (I'm 100% sure i aligned and applied it correctly). Dust started building up in the unstuck edges and it slowly came off. rclxub.gif

Personally, I wouldn't buy Nillkin again simply because of that. doh.gif
I don't mind not having a full-protection just as long as the LCD is protected.
Seems like it's impossible to find even one SP that AT LEAST does the job well (e.g only only covering the LCD) cry.gif

I'm not sure if you can see the edge of the SP that is unable to stick..

happens to both the top and the bottom of the SP. This SP was free from a Baseus casing but the effect is exactly the same as what happened to my Nillkin SP cry.gif

yup, I can see it. Given time, dust starts to collect again since you'll probably be putting it in your pocket.
Eventually, it starts to look ugly and you have the urge to remove it immediately tongue.gif

I want to cut the edges of the SP myself but I've had bad experiences doing that, don't dare to try anymore shakehead.gif

Hey guys! biggrin.gif
Any one of you using Benks / Nillkin SP? I've got a question to ask you guys icon_question.gif

Does the edges of your screen protector stick? Or does it form bubbles at the edge like in the picture below? ohmy.gif

I'm just curious because I HAD a Nillkin Clear SP and it had that problem like in the picture cry.gif ,
whereas from what i'm seeing in this thread it seems like most of you dont have any problems with your Benks / Nillkin SP shocking.gif

It could means the edge got dirty when you apply the SP or you didn't clean the screen properly.

You can rectify it with some clear tape. Use the clear tape to stick on the SP to lift it up. Then use another clear tape and clean the edge not sticking and on the screen. The slowly stick back the SP.

I've tried it already. Most of the sure-fire methods i've tried but never worked.
I use the 'cellophane tape method'. Nothing works. Not even using a credit card to push it down. cry.gif

Seriously do not expect too much from such mediocre cheap SP
If you want quality go for those high quality type costing RM 70 and above esp those wet applications type
*
You mean like the Spigen FlexHD SP? Looks like that one was cancelled by the manufacturer..

I dont mind if the SP doesn't cover the entire front.. As long as it sticks will do hmm.gif

The FlexHD was not cancelled by SGP. As a matter of fact it's already been out to the mass market for a while now.

The one that SGP cancelled for the S3 was the Ultra Oleophobic from their Steinheil Series of dry application screen protectors, they have released the Ultra Crystal version from the same series though. It's something about adding an oil resistance coating in the ultra oleophobic degrades screen responsiveness of the S3.

Oh. So the flexHD wasn't cancelled? so confusing haha rclxub.gif

I'm using the ROCK quicksand case. I really like the feeling of it. It's like a rough matte surface and it feels nice in the hand biggrin.gif
