Same here. From Nokia phone..mark all contacts..send via bluetooth as vcf to Samsung phone. Fast and easy. :-)

Only celcom and God knows how long it take for them to register your warranty. Why not you register the warranty yourself.
Refer to 1st page for the how to. Or PM FallenOut and ask kindly for his help on your registration.

If buy outright the phone only then any phone shop can.
If buy with contract have to go for telcos.

Root wont wipe your data or apps. After rooting then do your backup

Kies is well known for its un-reliable.
Titanium backup - for your apps and data.
Nandroid backup - for complete whole things (app + data + phone system..etc..). You do Nandroid before flashing custom roms. If anything bad happen during flashing you can restore back to your previous set up by using your Nandroid.
You can unroot by flashing official stock firmware via Odin. Most official stock firmware won't wipe your data.

That okay bro. Just keep updating in this first few months. No need adding videos about phone comparison. Most ppl knows about S3 edi.
Prepare basic Q&A on how, what and where will help as i see many new user coming not only from other Android brand but also from fruity side as well.

My goodness. You use Nandroid only if you want to revert back as before you flash custom rom. Nandroid backup is BIG. Normally around 1GB per backup.
After you success flashing new custom rom, use your Titanium to re-install back all you apps and data that sometimes not included in that new custom rom.

If you not planning for any custom rom flashing then Titanium should be enough. Though it adviceable to have atleast one Nandroid backup in your phone.

Keep it in your phone storage or your external sdcard so you can do restore by using the phone itself.

And let me take the last post before new TS take over :-P
