nope not the pressure, just that, let's say i step my brake paddle for like 30% deep, i cant feel my car slower at all, but the same model, same car, (my friend's car), same 30% and his car does slow down. both my friend and i can tell the difference of the brake. somehow i think my car's brake cacat.. kena step deeper by a lot only the car will slow down, thus result to always brake late.  smile.gif

Air buble traped inside ur brake line.. Go do brake bleeding bro... N better dont do late braking lar if ur car's brake not operating at it's optimum, dangerous w0o0o0o

No, i mean, from what i read at preve thread, the gap/hole that they fill with the foam is use to drain water.. so, if we put the foam, scare will effect the car drainage system.. can cause water go inside our car later..
*
Shudnt b n issue, bcus the foam is water proof... So, if u can make sure the water wont come in into ur chassis by making sure the foam is full inside ur chassis, so the need to drain the water from the chassis is a no issue...

Ive already foamed my undercarriage and A-pillar, n the effect is very significant. Handling improves alot n high speed stability also increases... But, interms of NVH, i can say, there was no gain at all... NExt after my exhaust setup, i think i wanna do side sill foaming pulak

Yup, i think you will understand the part is not suppose to be have water inside to start off. is actually visible if u pull out all the plastic cover (let's say your A-Pillar), so if water are suppose to drain using the hole, you are in big trouble cuz water will be all over your dashboard in heavy rain. =)

I've foamed the door sills i think it helps more on NVH than the handling itself, but still can feel a wee bit of difference. A-Pillar wise, i foamed it too last saturday and till now, they say will reduce body roll, but i really don't know how to feel it.. maybe quite 'deaf' in this kind of stuffs, but i corner at high speed too until my bags in the car fly here and there.. now only i don't trust my tyres cuz almost botak dy.. no time to go shop for rims. wanna reduce my rim size by 1 inch.

*
U wanna use 13" rims bro...?? shocking.gif

Foaming reduce body roll..?? I dont think so bro... Foaming can only reduces chassis flex actually... To reduce body roll, u need something to add more resistance to the connection between road n chassis, which is the suspension system... Adding a rear anti roll bar will help to reduce body roll

QUOTE(ronnie @ Aug 1 2012, 03:26 PM)
You guys should use www.fuelly.com to track fuel consumption.
*
Yeah, true that... Im getting average 14.2kml only over 23k kms in my 1.5 manual... Best figure per tank full of fuel m getting 17.5kml... Which equates to about 670km per tank of fuel, highway 95% with constant highway speed

Drop-in wont have any sound effect... Its similar to oem.. Heck, after i changed to drop-in, i cant even feel any performance gain from oem filter.. Or maybe im not sensitive enuf maybe... doh.gif But, with open pod, every time u full throtle, the sound is really nice.. The sound of air sucking into the engine... thumbup.gif

ps: where do u buy the drop in filter? (how much?)
*
Yeah bro, its K&N open pod... for price, the walk-in price is rm600 for rampipe+clamps+hosses+Open pod filter, n additional rm300 for the heatshield.. At speedworks pj... But, actually i got huge discount because buy through our good sir, ir.bean (ben in our fb page), he hook me up for some very good bargain...

The brand is Hotbits rampipe+hosses etc + KnN 2.5" Open pod... the price, il pm u.. But walk-in cutomer will be charged 600+300 for induction kit+heatshield respectively

how much is it in total? what size is the open pod air filter..2.5 inch??
btw yesterday(tuesday) did u went and change ur spark plug? just wondering is it the same car/owner I meet @@

*
Yeah bro, its hotbits... yes, 2.5, because the ram pipe is quite long, so cannot go bigger size... Bro, im sure that's not me, bcause i didnt change my plugs... rclxub.gif

QUOTE(felixyukito @ Aug 8 2012, 03:31 PM)

ps: i heard police like to find problem with the 'mushroom head' filter.  rolleyes.gif
*
Go join our fb page, there can get bulk-buy price for the drop-in, i can guarantee u, u wont get that price anywhere for a genuine product by K&N

QUOTE(-TJF- @ Aug 8 2012, 03:41 PM)

open pod/mushroom air filter will not and must not have issue with police/jpj.
law does not says that we cant change the air filter to open pod.
I've encounter with JPJ myself which they though im using HID for headlamp where im just using philips bulb.
they requested me to open my bonnet and i did it which then they could not fine me for the philips bulb and b4 they release me 1 of the officers tell me..wa lu punye kereta cantik a..air filter pun cantik, mana buat? haha
i just reply him..I custom one and then im able to leave =)

*I'm using 3" K&N open pod air filter and the ram pipe I custom one*

Did you change your exhaust? With proper intake and exhaust mod, only we can feel it right? Still going up and down between drop in and open pod. Will mod my exhaust soon, too.

So what's your opinion? biggrin.gif
*
If can get a good custom work to do open pod, can get it very cheap actually, n this open pod+heatshield setup, u can get 5hp on wheel.. Otherwise, a good exhaust system can do wonders to ur car's performance... If auto, maybe open pod is not the best for ur car, but manual, both also can... Exhaust, if auto, need to use s-flow, manual both also can... Happy RnD n tuning bro to get ur best setup

Also, have you heard about this?
One of the mechanic told me that if I need to change the brake fluid for myvi, because it comes with ABS on it, they need to use some sort of machine/computer to readjust the brake, or else next time when I step the brake pedal, I have to step it very hard in order to stop the car. Is this true?

Lastly, normally how much will it cost for changing the brake fluid in outside (not P2 workshop)? The P2 workshop in KL told me around rm35 if I change it at their end...

Thank you... smile.gif
*
Its not machine/computer bro, brake bleeding is just a normal pumping the brake pedal n releasing the air bubbles...

QUOTE(lowsian @ Aug 14 2012, 09:17 PM)
hey guys, just recently joined into Myvi society  laugh.gif
but i need some help and suggestion... it appears that :
1) the power steering gives different power feeling, sometimes very light, sometimes kinda heavy (both happens in normal condition.. not cornering)
2) the radio signal is kinda.. crappy..
3) cornering ability abit sorry?

i'm on Extreme
*
1) Normal for EPS steering
2) this one i dunno
3) Its a normal family hatchback with short wheelbase n high centre of gravity, u need to do alot of things to make it more stable... U can go change adjustable, chassis bracing, n better performance tires, all this will transforms ur car to b a better handling car, far more stable tham OEM, but to the extent of ride comfort

jasma is about 150 now without heatshield and K&N will be 510 plus 275 for the heatshield.

is heatshield necessary? the seller claims that it's better to have.
*
Its a crucial element in open pod bro... Because witout the heatshield, u will actually lost power because of the engine heat... It will be even worst when traffic jam situation.

QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Aug 16 2012, 12:04 AM)
The heatshield that was supplied together with the filter is usually plastic. Dunno issit PVC or not lah.

open pod K&N only need RM510 meh? hmm.gif
*
I did mine at speedworks pj, walkin price for the suction kit is rm600, n another rm300 for the heatshield... though the quoted price is expensive, the effect is very significant eps during high rpm, the suction sound is very2 strong coupled with stronger acceleration thumbup.gif But, i do believe, if u do it custom, u can save alot of money...

QUOTE(billy_overheat @ Aug 16 2012, 12:17 AM)
Seems like they are giving promotion now. Just SMS the seller. @@
*
Which seller bro..??
Bro, if u wannt heatshield, we are organizing a bulk buy for open pod heatshield, custom design to fit 1.5manual, can get around rm200, with better finishes n material than the one i bought form the mentioned earlier tuner. PM me if u r interested bro thumbup.gif

QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Aug 16 2012, 08:00 AM)
CVT

I dont know much about Maivee, but general rule, 4-2-1 is more friendly towards city drive while 4-1 is more of a highway cruiser. If you're using 4-1, you have to rev the engine to extract most of the power. I dunno is there 4-2-1 available for Maivee or not hmm.gif
*
Yeah, our bro here is correct... 4-1 peaky performance, 4-2-1 more midrange, but, for myvi, if u want to use 4-2-1 configuration, u better go find those 4-2-1 which go all the way till under ur engine (4-2-1 long type), not the 4-2-1 short type... 4-2-1 short type wont give u much difference compared with 4-1
