if Gt-86, then use 20" la.. apa barang 18"...

It would spoil the handling. The car is underpowered in campro kosong in the low rpm range.. Need to transplant IAFM into that boxer engine.

The GT86 is quite underpowered at the low range RPM.. U put in 20" car wont gerak.. Ride will become too bumpy.

KPI - thread must not be left open for more than 1.5mths.
If TS is good then he gets to keep his seat.

sry for being a little outdated here.. is the latest batch of PE comes with orifice valve pre installed? coz i have heard of that without the valve, car will have weird sound like "kling kling klok klok?"

is that true?
*
LOL.. The orifice valve is not going to create a lot of weird sound.. Even with the orifice valve installed the sound will still be present.

QUOTE(Fubar20 @ Jul 19 2012, 03:44 PM)
At the rate this thread is going, TS is going to lose his seat.
Maybe that's was his plan too.  laugh.gif
*
LOL.. He lost his job.. Now going to lose this seat also.. wink.gif

Here here. again!!

Hmm the rim design not my taste. I dont like design that have the spoke protruding further than the lip of the rims.
But S drive.. Tak boleh pakai punya tayar.. Wet grip not that good.. When hard braking it wet it loses grip very fast.
Even those Neuton N8000 can perform better than this.

QUOTE(nicgoh @ Jul 19 2012, 04:51 PM)
cry.gif  cry.gif then how to get rid of the sound?

omg! the sound happens on all PE? or only certain units?  cry.gif  cry.gif
*
Hmm the sound is not really that annoying.. It will just sound like fluids travelling back to the reservoir tank.. A bit like darth vader breathing through the mask sound.. U basically wont really notice it unless ur radio is off.

N8000 and Achilles ATR sport which one better?

No idea.. never tried achilles before.. but neuton n8000 is much better.. Achilles is directional tire.. very noisy.. and very hard.. the threadwear 400 wei.. reviews for that tire also not really good. just average.. neuton n8000 is also from the same achilles factory if not mistaken.. but very good review..

CPS with Autobox?? OMG.. thats the worst combination i have ever tested... The low end torque really poor and the stupid 4 gear ratio are useless in activating the CPS function. I have driven an Auto Neo CPS before.. My PE can eat it for lunch and dinner..

lol.. cost the CPS will only kick in around 4.4k RPM.. Like those Vtec function activating..
and since the autobox only have 4 gears.. the gear ratio is spaced such that when the gear changes, it drops below 4.4k rpm.. causing u to close out the CPS function..

QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Jul 19 2012, 07:11 PM)
IAFM+ lah.

CPS cant meet emission standard outside Malaysia.

Actually after the upgrade in stuffs for the Elegance Standard, it has now come to M line level. So its considered M line equivalent without a bodykit i suppose.

One thing I ALWAYS like to laugh abt Preve is its start button module...I tot engine start button are supposed to SIMPLIFY start process. Open door, seat in car with transponder in pocket, just press start button. ONE STEP to start car.

Our usual start is 2 steps process, insert key and turn.

Preve superbly high tech start process.....insert KEY (wtf), step on brake (I think), then press start button....3 steps....is that not being regressive. Even if no need step brake (if I'm wrong), still 2 process AND actually take longer than conventional method....ie..insert key and IMMEDIATELY turn to start.....PREVE method...insert key, then HAVE to lift the hand and move to START BUTTON. Also start button has higher chances of malfunction then the tried and tested conventional key start method..

I don't get it..
*
but the preve key fob is located just right beside the button.. so technically its insert the key fob and press the button while the leg automatically press the brakes.

But but PE also got start button what.. insert and turn key then press button to start.. Either way the button is super impressive to impressing girls who sit my car..
Mine whole button got light somemore..

Hi there..

QUOTE(Cavino @ Jul 20 2012, 10:48 AM)
Ok  blush.gif , I did not know that....it seems Preve start button steps even worse than I thought....question is why implement this feature that does not help in anyway for a modern car but actually makes it worse...
*
Its actually a premium feature lah.. it makes the car looks premium mah.. Customer wants it, Proton have to give it loh..

QUOTE(Cavino @ Jul 20 2012, 11:27 AM)
But honestly, preve is of a different class, bigger seat, more spacious, better sound insulation, etc. If you get H-Line, I understand lar, but b-line insulation not very good ler, even M-Line AND h-Line insulation makes quite a big difference between them. Brake pump of B and M line also not up to par vs H-Line.

So downgrading purchase option from Preve to PE-B-M line does not makes sense.....although if you urgently need car then no choice. Most PE problem already solved. Those still there are minor only. Currently the only problem I got with my PE is a bit of dashboard rattling, all previous issue causing headache solved by itself or manually.

Otherwise, I would wait a year or 2 for either SE or FL to appear then buy then...
*
Not exactly. with RM2k, im able to insulate PE way way better than Preve. Using STP gold for 4 doors, STP vibratron for the floor board and STP Mastic for insulation for all 4 fenders. THe car will sound super premium. THen another RM100 for wind noise insulation bu buying the D rubber thingy to stick around the doors.

QUOTE(dares @ Jul 20 2012, 11:35 AM)
Actually is insert key fob -> press button with brakes done already.

They came up with the process to see if they can avoid the OWV issue.

EDIT : TBH, I also dunno why Proton dun do it like Forte, no need to insert key fob  doh.gif
*
What about the OWV issue?

Forte those keyless start needs slightly expensive transmitter.. Preve have to cut cost..

*
LOL if u are using ori suspension it sure will knock the fender or bottom out everytime.. Even with 17" rims also the margins to play with is very low.. IF 18" sure use 35 or 40 only.. Any thicker ur tire will straightaway be scraping the edge without even mobing.

QUOTE(Cavino @ Jul 20 2012, 02:41 PM)
All japanese also same lar....press brake to release gear from "P"....a good thing to prevent car from reversing and jump in front suddenly.

My FC average only...coz abt 35% highway drive (mostly federal). So-called highway drive comes from the 20km to/fro stretch from subang toll to klang speed usually at 110-130~140 while the sometime less traffic short stretch between PJ's Amcorp and Old Klang road exit abt 80~110. I work inside Menara Citibank, so there's the jam there but I do get there early before MAJOR jam start. In city with so many traffic, speed varies...50~90. Generally no major jam.

"OWN" is for my own reference....means using own money. Without "OWN", use company SHELL card to fill in. "OWN" also indicate I'm using ESSO (I used Esso), while "BLANK" uses SHELL (...got limit wan....so interperse with "OWN" petrol)..
*
Oic.. No wonder so jimat fuel.. haha..
