I am using adobe photoshop 7.0 to create a website, actually, i m using a ready web template. This is my 1st time learning photoshop, so here i got some questions to the expert here:

when the template is ready, how am I going to save it as a website? I know I have to choose the "Save for web" options, but how come the text area in my website become an image when i save it? I choose "save as HTML and Images". The text area become one of the slice. so, how can i do it?

this is the main problem that i met!

sure ma... photoshop is image editor.. it can crate image for web.. but cannot auto create web using it..(from what i know.. ) u must used dreamwiver, frontpage.... (web editor program) to create web.. used google to find totorial..

photoshop is just to create a layout. Usually i will use the slice tool to slice out and the images.

Firstly, create a folder called 'images'.

The 'images' folder is to place all the images that you are about to slice.

You need to slice them into pieces first accordingly, this one abit crack head, because individual has different way of slicing.

Using the Ruler tool first to draw the lines where you want to slice, then slice one by one, save as web (JPEG).

It would be wiser to slice the image your want, and reconstruct the layout in html editor like dreamweaver.

Or if you do not want to fumble with all these, slice the text section as well.

After exporting your photoshop layout to html, use a html editor like dreamweaver to remove the text section which is in image, and then type in your text.

This is because all the exported image slice are placed in a table layout, removing the image will leave you the blank table-cell. With the blank table cell, you can add text in there.

Of course, photoshop-exported-html are inefficient, but always the easiest way to get things done.

Well, i thought at first, we could only use photoshop for image editting. But NOOOOOOOOO...we CAN use photoshop for website, especially if you guys wanted to have portfolio or photo album website.

Coolwave, my advice is, go find yourself Photoshop CS 2, cos baby, you can create a FLASH WEBSITE from it! This is my friend's portfolio website, www.davidgreenwood.com and he's using Photoshop CS 2. And hey, its EASY! If you have the knowledge of Dreamweaver and other html programs, what you can do is, you can just edit it from there. Believe me, with PSP CS2, everything is just like a click of a button!

For those of you who are CLUELESS on how this is going (or never use photoshop for web making purpose), you can just go to your photoshop (advisable psp CS 2, but u can also go to 7.0..but minus flash) and go to FILE>AUTOMATE>WebPhotoGallery and from there you can go scroll down to styles>Flash # 1...or etc. Before that, just create a folder of your desired images that you want to put it in website. Edit here and there, and press OK.

Voila!

put it by eiting in Dream then upload the image thru image hosters or in the webhosters also can...
