QUOTE(=..= @ Feb 8 2017, 11:30 PM) hi guys, I know nothing about photography (only read some basics) if I use the rx100 in auto mode will it be better than a camera phone eg galaxy s7? how difficult is it to learn to take good photos? i tried with a dslr for about 1 hour come out all bad pictures. nope. u should have at least a basic knowledge of shutter speeds. rx100 is not a beginner friendly camera

QUOTE(polisterina @ Mar 17 2017, 02:32 AM) lol i already sold my mk 3 and bought a ricoh gr. aps-c sensor is clearly much better quality than 1" sensor. this is simple physics. well if don't need a zoom lens and f1.8 then perhaps

QUOTE(lwliam @ Mar 31 2017, 07:06 PM) Honestly, if you're not interested with all the technical stuffs, just use Superior Auto and you're good to go. It's really really smart. Not really. best is to use S mode and set at least 1/80 shutter.

Anybody have experience in this?

QUOTE(lencent @ Nov 21 2017, 11:31 PM) i sent my RX100mk3 to check for a dust spot, the sony shop said have to change the whole lense assembly cause its an unibody construction, about rm1200. asked second opinion on third party shop also said the same thing, similar price too. And if you are adventure type, here is the youtube link to disassemble the mk3 https://youtu.be/efVX-aNLFJgNo more warranty? i had the same issue too 2 years back and they replaced for me for free.

QUOTE(lencent @ Nov 23 2017, 08:43 PM) my warranty only 1yr when i bought it Which SC did u go? Attached the photo, it only appeared when using smaller aperture, F7.1 and above IIRC. I extended my warranty up to 4 years. Bought it 3 years ago and next year March 2018 only expire. The curve lor. Mine appeared even at f4

QUOTE(ivzh @ Aug 31 2018, 03:13 AM) Finally decide on the rx100mark 6 before the SST implemented. Any recommended case? For fullday usage, usually how many battery is needed? 1 is enough. can always charge the camera using power bank.

QUOTE(little wing @ Dec 23 2019, 11:52 AM) Have a question to all Sifu's out there. I suspect there's some dust trapped in my RX100 M1 lens. It's really bothering me and i want to get this fixed. The suspected dust can be seen at the top left area of the shots. The attached images should give you guys an idea. My questions: 1) Where would you guys recommend i get this fixed? (Im based in PJ, BU area) 2) I've owned this unit since 2013. There's nothing wrong with it as far as i can tell, but what other maintenance work that should be done at this stage? Thanks! sony centre. either have to change to entire lens or sensor cleaning.
