QUOTE(ramz @ Jun 7 2012, 09:16 AM)
anybody know in s3 whether skype works like video player. in video player u can play it as a pop-up screen and move it around while u do other things. i wonder if u can do that on skype too.

on pc i do it a lot. i just leave skype on the whole day while working on the pc. its like u are not alone although physically u are. i like to bring that experience into galaxy s3 too.

btw, i am ready to buy, but the price here in kuching is astrotious. i'll just wait till the price is reasonable.

i not interested with contract. the problem with celcom is only hotline number can call. when call hotline they won't give branch number. and they know crap about the branch. so only way is to visit to branch. already 2012 celcom operating like the 80's.
*
I believe you can buy without contract hmm.gif

EDIT: Just saw the above post biggrin.gif

+1 Some users are still new to Android, unlike us who have flashed countless times. Clear instructions will certainly help smile.gif

QUOTE(ramz @ Jun 7 2012, 05:20 PM)
- backup is catch 22. if i don't root i can't do titanium backup. but if i root i may risk loosing my data before i even do a titanium backup.
- i am living happily without this feature.
- don't think i need market enabler. i only use a handful of apps, mainly for work and family.
- i don't visit porn sites too often. tongue.gif

i am just a user. i do not need to be a power user. or at least i don't want to complicate things with my to be beloved s3.

( i sound qualified to be an iphone user)
*
No such thing such as loosing data when rooting (This is not the iPhone's jailbreak we're talking about)
You can do backups without rooting too. AppMonster and MyBackup are the apps smile.gif
And don't think that only porn sites have ads. The ads we're referring to is in-app ads which often comes with some free apps. Rooting allows one to remove the ads when we use the respective apps.

btw guys, where's Market Enabler? I tried searching for it in the Play Store recently but to no avail

wait maybe 1 week more thread will slow down a bit ?

I also can't catch up, I know there are a lot of useful information in between those pages.. but really.. so hard to read 1 by 1..post by post
*
You are wrong. This thread is not going to slow down any further, when SIII is selling like hot cakes, more and more people will flood to this forum with their questions, etc etc.. Then we'll see custom roms and kernels booming like mushrooms and this thread will be a Bugatti Veyron laugh.gif
