Uncle I think you better enjoy your iPhone enough, small tiny screen and easy as abc. So nice and cool for you uncle =)

When the next iPhone with a larger screen is out, he won't be able to enjoy it since it's too big for one hand operation.

well from reading up this link,i conclude yellow tint is such a major issue for mosttttttttttt of AMOLED phone out there..so like all the bros here said..chances are 50-50 either it will get better or worse..how i wish samsung offer 1 on 1 exchange so we could change sampai puas hati..huhu and here's some quote from wikipedia about amoled disadvantages

Color balance issues
Additionally, as the OLED material used to produce blue light degrades significantly more rapidly than the materials that produce other colors, blue light output will decrease relative to the other colors of light. This variation in the differential color output will change the color balance of the display and is much more noticeable than a decrease in overall luminance.[62] This can be partially avoided by adjusting colour balance but this may require advanced control circuits and interaction with the user, which is unacceptable for some users. In order to delay the problem, manufacturers bias the colour balance towards blue so that the display initially has an artificially blue tint, leading to complaints of artificial-looking, over-saturated colors. More commonly, though, manufacturers optimize the size of the R, G and B subpixels to reduce the current density through the subpixel in order to equalize lifetime at full luminance. For example, a blue subpixel may be 100% larger than the green subpixel. The red subpixel may be 10% smaller than the green.

The yellow tint shouldn't be there I suppose. Yes, the blue colour will certainly degrade, that's why Samsung's screens are more towards blue. As time passes, the blue colours will degrade, but then the colour will still looks normal, not the yellow tint we're talking about. Having used my Galaxy S for 2 years, it's suffice to say that the colour still looks normal today, guess the blue pixels won't degrade so fast I suppose?
Personally I don't think a yellow tint on a brand new SIII is acceptable, you should roll on the floor until they do 1-1 exchange tongue.gif

lol.. try to tap and hold the word and see. There're seldom things iPhone can do that Android can't laugh.gif
You have to get used to "tap and hold". There're lots of things in Android that you can do with this gesture smile.gif

wireless charger but must put on the charger all the time?
it would be great of the charger have the range radius if not
better use the cable. smile.gif

Sadly, the phone needs to be together with the wireless charger for now then only will it be able to charge.
Maybe some time in the future wireless charging will cater for a longer range

for those of u who are using an external sd, how do you transfer files to it. Native samsung doesn't seem to do it. I tried airdroid but it doesn't detect the external memory.

Looks like have to plug in the cable everytime.

WiFi File Explorer
This supports external sd

Do you even read the manual? shakehead.gif

btw go to Setting > Security >Screen lock..

read the manual plz..
*
Hahaha, the manual is too long for new users. For sure they're lazy to read it. It's better to try out every category under the phone's Settings. That way they'll learn faster. If they come across anything they don't understand, then search the manual
