Sometimes when it comes to Toyota, there will be a HUGE confusin between "ALL NEW" and "FACELIFT" because for Toyota, a facelift can be all new and vice versa (eg: Can the Camry XV50 be considered new car although the gearbox and engine still the same?)

aii..now my dealer ask me want to wait o not..facelift model

i say..no look how i know cantik or not

littlebear u are wrong. i personally called the HQ this morning, at 1st they hush hush. Then they confirm to me got facelift.

I think so caz the latest facelift was 2 yrs ago. If they were to be changes, should be new model. Though i am not driving vios anymore, but me too interested to find out if new model coming out.

a salesman mentioned the J spec will come with dual airbags and others. close to becoming like E spec.. maybe they will stop E spec?

no, no. i think you misunderstand me. it is completely new design. toyota put in millions to create a new design. but finally they still came up with the same old design. it's because the old design is very very good already. the best.

so no matter rnd they put in, they'd still come out with something similar to the old design. since vios is already the best car. how can you improve one of the best car in the world? cannot right?

Friend worked in UMW told me Vios will come out "new model" next year, but the design will remain abit like dugong design, engine and gearbox will remain the same. Probably will launch a spec which lower than current J spec to compete with medium price range car. That's what I heard, is either my friend con me then I con u all.

Same design, engine, and gearbox? Then its definitely a new model bro. I'm glad they kept the proven parts of the car, the engine and gearbox have been around for 10 years, proven technology and wont easily go wrong!

A lower then J specs with less funky gadgets is very much preffered bro. Less things in the car means less things can spoil means less $$ spent on fixing it!

Also, maybe they can remove the airbag, remove the plastic wheel cap, maybe the inside carpet also can remove. Then the car can be more affordable and lighter hence saving more petrol. A great alternative then the current lousy local cars being offered by Proton!

Its like KL but more traffic jam. 3 lane but 5 cars. they don follow rules. their taxi is vios, house car is Innova, rich one usually drive Lexus Alphard. The picture already shown to you right. Confirmed with saleman just now. It is not facelift but added spec only. Example for J-Spec, now come with additional airbag (passenger) and 15" sport rims. Price up 2k and no discount. That was what i heard from saleman.

and J-spec will get 15" silver alloy rims instead of steel.. and additional passenger airbag.
E-spec rims also 15", no longer 14"
