Weird from digi cause they had been promoting their tomorrow network since quite a long time ago. Saying that their the first to set up lte enabled tower la bla bla bla. So much for their tomorrow network. 

Looks like only screwed up telco i digi...
i checked up digi LTE coverage... i almost fall off my chair.
Looks like digi is taking their consumers for a ride.

another week passed... no news from digi on LTE for smartphones

very frustrating...
they are playing games with their consumers

anyone know the APN settings for Celcom 4G (LTE) on android?

What is the cheapest phone I can get which supports real LTE speeds? I know there are alot of phone out there that support LTE by the fact that they connect to a 4g network but don't actually support the speed.

I know like S4LTE does, but I just want to use it is as a modem so I want something cheap.

With LTE 2x20MHz, getting 100Mbps is technically possible, but practically very hard to get.

I was involved in numbers of LTE testing, and getting >100Mbps was not a problem

To get 100Mbps you will need few things:

1. LTE network that runs on 2x20MHz
2. A location with very good Signal-to-Noise Ration (SNR) of at least 25dB
3. Alone in the cell, no other users can attach to the cell, so that you will get all the resources.
4. Cat-4 devices

No is not the same due to different bands being utilized for 4G and 3G.

4G in Malaysia using 2600MHz band (if not mistaken) but 3G there are telcos like Celcom and Maxis have 900MHz band.

If you get strong signal for 3G, you might be covered well but with 4G the company might need to deploy more base stations(up to 2X more) in your area to achieve the same coverage as 3G on 900MHz band.

I need to confirm with experts on this thread for this.

TM using 800MHz band for their 4G LTE as fixed lines might pawn them all.

Speedtest done yesterday at (inside) Celcom Blue Cube, Sunway Pyramid.

I expected that too LOL.. and yes, it dropped to somewhere ~50Mbps despite it's just a few feet seperated from where I did the 1st test 

im changing back to maxis...just changed to celcom today and im not even getting any reception in my room..highest ive reached was 1 bar H+..last time i could reach 1 bar LTE and H+ was lowest

I changed to USIM already today. i called DiGi technical team. They said LTE will be launch NATIONWIDE on February 2014. Even east malaysia will get LTE coverage. Not sure early/mid/end feb.

so if your maxis mobile gets full bar for 3g. do u get lte full strength using maxis mifi

how much u can get. I mean at maximum throughput. or the area is dense that's y throughput lowers.

The best 4G modem is Dlink DWR-921 (price: RM600+) but not sure whether it can use with local 4G LTE network.

My Question is: When conenct to 4G LTE, (Celcom or Maxis or U mobile)
Are we able to get the public ip? or it is still the private ip (same as the 3G network)?

does anyone know for fact 'bout the speed of celcom 4g enabled sim in 4g enabled device but on HDPSA+ (non-4g) area?

My Digi 3G speedtest just now.. 11mbps.
