QUOTE(futra @ Mar 27 2014, 03:10 PM) Netgear and Sierra same brand? Coz found sierra brand on lelong/lowyat, cant find netgear. Anyway, was thinking of something like portawifi.. Usb modem type. Any ideas/suggestions? Netgear bought Sierra. So yeah, same brand. I suggest MiFi because in my opinion its better than portawifi. Can I know why you prefer portawifi? (as previous former said, huawei latest portawifi should do you fine)

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Mar 27 2014, 08:04 PM) Why I like Netgear/Sierra Wireless, tons of option can change on configuration, removable battery, less firmware issue. Only issue is the short battery life. Now E5776 is working great, but I do miss those features The battery life can be fixed by buying the extended 3600mah battery for the 76Xs, I think. Just a problem that this specific battery is REALLY HARD to find. I only one place to buy from online and it hasn't been in stock for a LONG time. By the way, are you using your AC76Xs with the Hub?

Also I want to ask: my dad has a Nexus 5 and Celcom SIM. Don't know why the coverage is so crappy that really good feng shui is needed to get 4 bars of H. If I move the thing a bit the coverage can drop to 2 bars of 3G. IDK if it's Nexus 5 fault or Celcom fault.

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Mar 28 2014, 12:58 PM) Extended battery make the device so enormous which is no longer practical as a MiFi. Even with E5776 I feel it is quite large. No, I dont use with the hub. Since when the extended battery make the AC76Xs enormous? (I thought the extended battery is only 2x thicker than included battery what)

QUOTE(maliwan @ Apr 8 2014, 09:25 AM) Hello fellow citizen. Just a quick question, im planning to get a 4g modem, but i want one with extra external antenna slot ; 1. Any suggestion?( not tht pricey, support MY bands, and unlocked, im using celcom) 2. I saw alcatel y800, but does it come with external antenna slot? Sorry if i ask wrong place, thanks in advance. O yeh, btw is there any website that i can use to check coverage map for 4G in peninsular malaysia? tried to google it, but no luck. Thanks. The Netgear Aircard 760s mi-fi is a good choice. It's not that expensive nowadays between rm300-rm400; supports bands 3 and 7 (malaysian) LTE; has two antenna ports; can be used up to 10 people simultaneously.
