yeah. that's what i noticed! it was mcafee all along. WTF! but still the wireless signal strength is quite low because this one is 2 antenna model. other wifi n comes with 3.
i dont think you need a new driver. i uninstalled mcafee and the wifi issue ok already.

driver is not an issue for me. the broadcom issue is because of the mcafee antivirus. i uninstalled it and the wifi cantik already.

so many thing mcafee load during startup. refer to picture attached.

and i have called lenovo support center. they mentioned to me i can ask the technician to change my wifi card to another manufacturer one if the problem persist.
just bring my laptop to plaza ibm near one utama there then can already.

So which driver are you using now? I can't find any new driver for this Broadcom card, cause Lenovo didn't even mention which model we are having.

Nope, I uninstalled McaFee the 1st day I got this notebook.

I tried to reformat and re-install win7 as well. But still can only get max 72mbps only.

While my 4.5 years old Dell can easily get 150mbps on the same wireless router.

Is it defective of graphic card ? got this problem since the 1st bought this laptop anyone experince it....

My assassin creed also got flickering but not very noticeable at least it can play like normal ,but diablo 3 flickering can  make me until headache damn serious man~

guys , im having dis prob with my lenovo y480 nvdia gt650 spec , any idea b4 i head to warranty department(thou i dont really hope to , its jus troublesome)

it was fine before but lately

when i was playing games which will switched to nvdia display as usual , it jus working fine UNTILL i quit the apps it suppose to switch bac to intel hd and yes it jus switched it fine but my nvdia display was gone , it was like unplugged from my hardware or wadsoever

it wont snap in half way it jus when i try close the program and the moment it switch to intel hd and my nvdia is gone

AND it bac to normal when i restart my pc
so i was thinkin izzit hardware related? or software?
any idea to fix
