Doesn't bother me to be honest. Money can buy you metal and glass but it can't buy you memories. Anfield will always be remembered for those special European nights, especially by those who have played in it. Those who lost their lives at the Battle of the Spion Kop peering over the Kop end sucking the ball into the net, the clapping for the opposition, all those famous songs and banners. Anfield isn't ultra modern, it's rustic and has it's own charm. Fergie once commented on how quiet Old Trafford is these days. Anfield's old walls are still shaking. Money can't buy you this either.
If we do move out of Anfield, talk has it that it will be kept as a museum and so it should. Your friends can gloat all they want about having ultra modern stadiums. We may have one of our own in time. This money can buy but the charm and history of Anfield is something they will never be able to buy. Of course all this means very little to anyone who doesn't appreciate history and the past.
You don't drink but if you did, you'd learn a lot by talking to the locals at the Albert. I hung out there the day before the match but it was quite a task trying to understand Scouse.
yea , I understand now why they should place the memorial at the back of the stadium . It is means for the convenience for their family members to pay respect as some of them do visit the memorial everyday. If we do move out of Anfield, talk has it that it will be kept as a museum and so it should. Dont really bother their comments but rather spend more time on the museum reading and looking at the trophies. So bad the museum kinda out of space and Rafa glorious days should be in the stadium as well.
Still trying my best to understand their accent and the Albert is not that happening during off season.Probably it is far from city. Talked to one of the staff yesterday about the league match ticket , she told me the best way to get the tickets is by becoming their member. The cheapest one can cost me around 26.99pounds. Big dilemma now and will try to read more on RAWK forum to find out the other chances.
Does anyone here have membership card for the next season or anyone have experience purchase the tickets from other sources ?
