it doesn't affect your gameplay unless you intend to play at very high dpi's (very, very fast cursor movements)
or play with multiple monitor setups (in this case faster cursor movements across multiple screens)

most of us don't use our mouse beyond 2000dpi(subjective) so.. just to tell you if you need insane dpi's on optical mouse da2013 has it.

I dont think I need high DPi coz Im just a normal gamer.
And I'm just looking for a mouse which is precise so that I can get kills easily.

Is it true Optical sensor is better? And what's the diferrence between optical and laser, or maybe dual sensor.

g400, or da2013 base on your preferences for palm grip.

Optical
-little to no hardware acceleration
-max dpi up to 4000dpi (da 2013 is an exception, tracks equally well at 6400dpi)
-higher lift off distance (LOD)
-some mouse may experience jittering and tracks badly at high dpi (e.g. kana tracks badly at 1600dpi, 3200dpi)

Laser
-5%~10% hardware acceleration
-max dpi up to 8200dpi(excluding ss sensei which has processor in it to double its dpi up to 11,400 dpi)
-low LOD (i could be wrong)
-might have z-axis issues on some older sensors (cursors moves towards southeast of the screen when mouse is lifted.)

Just slowly coming to know of common issues related to mouse. So what is a tell-tale sign of bad tracking? Does it mean that the cursor movement isn't smooth? The cursor doesn't go where you intend it to be?

I think I will get myself a DA2013 or maybe a cheaper one~

I guess so too. Because earlier when I tried to use the DA2013 on my cheapo mousepad, I feel that "hang hang" feeling. After changing to Razer Goliathus mousepad, no more problems.

Without 'their' mousepad sure 70% smooth only
Haizz.. Need to spend another 50bucks to buy mouse pad..

at 1600dpi it starts to skip pixels and even visible at 3200dpi
ideally you do not want to play fps on mouse that skips pixels

tested with my kana dota 2 btw.

the image below is taken from another site, the jittering and pixel skipping is more visible compared to mine.

hi guys, i am finding a reliable wireless mouse. i already have a g400. i want use it for editing and web browsing on laptop. I prefer logitech, but dont mind looking for others.Is Logitech Anywhere Mouse MX is good choice???

wireless mouse haha, u hate wired ? I can recomend wire but not wireless.

for assault in bf3 im using 1800dpi

and for sniping i like to be lower to 1000 or 800, slightly slow movement easy to pick far target.
