got the notebook just now .. even the screen is with true life option but the color is even worst than the iBook I am using... and it is bigger than what I expect ..

but while playing DVD, it seem abit slow .. and the screen really not good .. maybe because of lack of external display card ..

I just bought it, add 1GB Ram, take the 3years warranty and also 3 years complete cover (better pay extra now than regret later), trulife screen. other spec is standard.

seems working fine and fast compare it with my friend notebook , i do a lot simulation testing for trajectory and projectile. it does the process more faster with it 533mhz.

According to the DELL engineers approximatly 10% of their assembly line notebooks will contain a few defects...Just be prepared for it....Some might work fine while others like mine came with defects right out of the factory. This is where the warranty comes in handy....

i think it's ok, you know Dell one week this price the next week different price, but it's hovers in the same price range,

I, bought mine RM 4420.00 (include transportation fees) bought it using telephone, i don't get cash rebate( lowsy direct access credit card cant used online purchased), Mine 1GB Ram, and truelife screen. no mouse. the rest is the same with yours.

in my imho don't compare the price promotion, best you can do is compare the current price that dell offer with other notebooks from other company like acer, ibm etc.

see which one is cheaper, Unless your a die hard dell user smile.gif (which i dont think they are any).

sounds like u got a good deal on your comp. i have also opted for true life screen. might as well since it's only an additional rm50.

anyone, i have customised my dell order fully. here are the full specs. but i haven't pressed the confirm order button yet. what do u think of these specs for $4365?

if u decided to buy, i think you should add 1gb RAM (2x 512), since no graphic card can be added.

hi... am a dell 630m user here myself. Has anyone encounter "no video/lcd" problem before? i mean, nothing shows up on lcd (black screen) but when plugin external monitor, it's showing fine on the ext. monitor....then after awhile, the lcd shows by itself again. And also, the Fn F8 (CRT/LCD), how come when i press it while ext. monitor not connected, my LCD turned black? and press it again won't get my LCD showing unless i reboot? thanks for feedbacks/infos!
