would like to ask why is my fren's s2 cannot update software my sgs2 updated to ics recently when i try to update his s2 then keep connection fail help please

help please when i try to install root.zip on recovery mode within few secs my g version will start i cant install it btw im using GT-I9100G_LP7_ClockworkMod-Recovery_5.5.0.4 to root my 4.0.3 ics
