QUOTE(KuLi @ Jun 4 2012, 08:11 AM) in synthetic benchmark, s3 score higher than h1x. not sure in real life usage, probably won't feel it much as both are really speedy phones. Yes there is a significant major difference when comes to performance - the S3 is very much slicker and smoother, opening apps is close to immediate unlike the HOX. There is virtually zero lag in moving among homescreens and scrolling of apps in apps drawer unlike the HOX which lags slightly and stutters at times. Its browser beats the HOX flat and blows it out of the water convincingly. Its audio quality trounced the HOX beats audio You will be happy with the HOX until you get to taste the SGS III This post has been edited by benny888: Jun 4 2012, 09:24 AM

I already got mine, a white unit on day one of launch. Not a fan of white phones but I like it - it looks much better than the photos you see on the web

I can tell you, 9/10 new users never bother to read the manual which I would say is a MUST especially if he is new to Android These users just are plain lazy or ignorant of existence of such a manual I have seen so many such users in all the phone threads including iphone/ipad where common questions whose answers are readily found in the manual

QUOTE(selvenz @ Jun 4 2012, 05:51 PM) @benny888Â what software would you use to sync mac and s3, i tried using kies but failed , KIES keeps hanging I dont use KIES even in PC ; MAC forget about it I use WiFi File Explorer app to manage fiels between the MAC and phone. File transfer speeds is very fast Depends on what rom you have some roms have USB Mass storage enabled and I could easily transfer files using it too ( this is for my NOTE ) This post has been edited by benny888: Jun 4 2012, 05:58 PM

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Jun 5 2012, 08:23 AM) Do you have problem doing Nandroid backup bro.? The recovery works very well. Only it is way way much slower than its version on Galaxy Note. Finalizing the md5 file can take up to close to 2 mins . I backup my stock rom and than flash the cook rom Omega. Tested on it half a day and use recovery to restore back the stock rom

QUOTE(Cynox @ Jun 5 2012, 09:25 AM) uncle benny will answer you. Rooting the phone involve first flashing through Odin CWM unofficial kernel - this will definitely increase flash counter to ONE. However no worry about this - it is only a record of your flashing of unofficial stuffs such as kernel or rom using Odin in PC I also faced similar situation in my first few days using the NOTE - some more boot with yellow triangle. AS the months come, this flash counter n yellow triangle was eventually solve by developers

QUOTE(waveweaver @ Jun 5 2012, 09:18 AM) Good..good. Nice to hear we can do backup and restore without problem albeit slower as i read in xda a few user can't restore their Nandroid. Hmm..gonna root my phone tonight :-) Thanks Uncle Benny I purposely install the cook rom just to test the backup and recovery Anyway the first cook rom basiically remove a lot of bloatware - do not see any significant performance gains. Unlike G Note custom roms the difference is so much noticeable. The present SGS III stock rom is already amazingly slick and fast and I am most happy using it Wait for more custom roms to come to test further

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Jun 5 2012, 10:16 AM) wow that was good and why won't work in htc 1 x ? and need root in order to use the pendrive ? This USB OTG is meant for Samsung phones only as far as I am aware. There are some hacks to make it work on other phones. Ask your friend to google for it at XDA
