Agreed wit dares..for some1 working in QC Dept for one of Japanese electronic company which known for its quality products,i also encounter same quality issues everyday..we try to reduce market claim but impossible to eliminate it at all. We depend on vendors OQC,once part bring to client, IQC only do random sampling (AQL only 1.5 only). After that our PQC will try to detect quality ussues during process line..and lastly OQC will only do random sampling.

Conclusion,i think proton tried d best to do best QC, but need strong comitment from all parties to achieve that (suppliers,IQC,PQC,OQC,n top management)

Bro Dares, i am sorry to say that, we bought the product from Proton, not from their vendor. We pay to proton, not paying to their vendor, proton make profit and v are suffer. I hope proton can really deliver a quality car to the consuner, not simply deliver a lemon units.

hermm many did no know that even Jap car or conti has quality issues, running from proton is not a solution. Ask civic owners , how many of them has to fix bearing and brake prob? ask DSG users about jerking DSG GB...

No need to hide under other car manufacturers problems, we all know no car is perfect.

Actually, i am impressed the ideas that develop by DSZ for this Preve, the issues is the production n quality control of the car was still not meets the global quality standard, out of 100% 20%-30% having a car quality probs, perhaps they should intro a system that keep track the chassis no of the personn who did a qc and checking, whenever there is a customer who complaint for the defect parts or area in the car, the respective person are required to be penalise for the probs or fire from the post due to not performed the qc well.

we cannot blame Proton at all, vendor sometimes make mock up product with the best quality..then when make for big amount, sometimes the quality gone..

From my observation, Proton do many road test, crash test, but still lack check the quality of product from vendor.. in terms of ride and handling, can give double thumbs up.. but for quality, it depends on how lucky we are...
power windows problem 'solved' since DSSZ announced it is lifetime warranty...

my suggestion, better wait for C Segment RM140k Civic 2012.. rather than this C Segment RM72k Prevay..hehe..

p/s: Preve Design in Malaysia, for Malaysian, suit with Malaysian road & weather, with hi safety features for Malaysian who love to speed like F1 driver, with Malaysian Price... so is it not worth for money?
