QUOTE(asi @ Jun 3 2012, 12:02 PM) Hi everyone. My first post. Booked CFE on 4/05/12. thats why i'm waiting for SE/Facelift version..But still have a little niggling doubt whether to proceed or to cancel my booking. My question is why a lot of problems that can be rectified at QC stage have to be rectified at SC? I think this kind of issues is giving a bad impression on PROTON. Not everybody including myself can always take time off to take the car to SC. Just want to ask a honest question. Will Bro like Kiapreve and others who have encountered numerous problems due to shoddy finishing and workmanship willing to recommend the car to others? Is all the hassle worth it? All your answers and feedback very much appreciated. we cannot blame Proton at all, vendor sometimes make mock up product with the best quality..then when make for big amount, sometimes the quality gone.. From my observation, Proton do many road test, crash test, but still lack check the quality of product from vendor.. in terms of ride and handling, can give double thumbs up.. but for quality, it depends on how lucky we are... power windows problem 'solved' since DSSZ announced it is lifetime warranty... my suggestion, better wait for C Segment RM140k Civic 2012.. rather than this C Segment RM72k Prevay..hehe.. p/s: Preve Design in Malaysia, for Malaysian, suit with Malaysian road & weather, with hi safety features for Malaysian who love to speed like F1 driver, with Malaysian Price... so is it not worth for money? btw, most of foreigner that i found said malaysian road/highway is the best that they found/ compared to their country.. choww.. |

QUOTE(kiapreve @ Jun 3 2012, 03:07 PM) Actually, i am impressed the ideas that develop by DSZ for this Preve, the issues is the production n quality control of the car was still not meets the global quality standard, out of 100% 20%-30% having a car quality probs, perhaps they should intro a system that keep track the chassis no of the personn who did a qc and checking, whenever there is a customer who complaint for the defect parts or area in the car, the respective person are required to be penalise for the probs or fire from the post due to not performed the qc well. unluckily..he is resign..Exora, 1st batch with CPS engine some basher said it is Underpower, this not right, that not right... at the same time DSSZ read all the comment ang 'turun padang' to solved the problem by introducing and develop CFE... now, Exora Bold almost a reliable MPV to buy... When come to Preve..3 month since launching day, got few minor defects, who can we trust to hear our voice? Soon to be new Proton MD read our comment? if he read, please do something..thanks.. Proton need someone like DSSZ that have passion in their work.. |

QUOTE(acwatzzup @ Jun 5 2012, 01:40 PM) pump full tank.. use Trip A/B/C to calculate ur drive to 100KM.. then go pump full tank again.. see the amount of your fuel (liter & price).. then calculate it Trip A - usually use for Fuel COnsumption..letsay pump fulll tank, reset Trip A at 0, then when it aproach 100km, pump again... say full tank RM85, then reset 0, after 3 days got 100km, go to pump again until full..this time only RM15 till full.. so, RM15 divide by 100km = you get 0.15 sents per km..Trip B - used for engine oil mileage count.. say service engine oil today, reset 0 at Trip B...when it reach 7,000km, we know its time to change the oil again.. Trip C - for total mileage..never reset because kenot la..hahaha *based on my nissan..i'm not using preve yet..but i think it is the same purpose.. |

QUOTE(dares @ Jun 7 2012, 07:31 PM) In Protonic shift paddle mode, it is basically simulating a conventional 7-speed gearbox. So like a 7-speed gearbox, you will experience the shift shock. If you don't want to feel the gear change, just stick to CVT D or S at first, i'm thinking why they put both paddleshift and gear shift for preve premium... when i test drive i realize that paddle shift very useful when u are in highway and u want the exact gear on time... letsay drive at 120km/h...want to potong/tapau civic at the corner....instead of using normal gear shifter, u can save few second faster by using paddle shift... from s mode, 'papppp' press -ve on paddle shift we got gear 6, the engine "breaking" like Jean Alesi say...got more power at that gear so tapau that car.... but for normal city driving, maybe want to relax, left hand can parked at gear knob..then use - and + to accelerate...hehehe.. |

QUOTE(oto_taro @ Jun 7 2012, 08:05 PM) press the 'open key symbol' about 5 second...Added on June 7, 2012, 8:28 pm QUOTE(dares @ Jun 7 2012, 08:05 PM) The way I see it, on highway once you are in the 2k-4k range, you're good dy. Say, you're cruising 120km/h at 2,200 RPM ( I dunno what is the Preve cruising RPM at 120, just an example), when wanna overtake just tekan a little bit more, no need to downshift. logically, more weight of the car, more stable, because the gravity move to the ground even we are in high speed, so the tyre grip/stick very well on the road, as the result give better ride and handling...But if say you are cruising around 90km/h, RPM at 1,800, then it is useful to downshift and drive the RPM into the 2k-4k range. Personally, I think the Protonic mode is most useful when driving on winding roads, when you need to accelerate and decelerate often in and out of corners. but for the less weight car like viosh, once you speeding at high speed at the corner, the gravity cannot cater the horizontal forces, as the result the car runoff to the other side.. for the sake of safety, preve seems a good car to be used by our loves one..hehe.. but if u want your love to die early, let her/him buy vavi.myve.alzae or any kind of so called the most pickup car on the earth. QUOTE(JOE564 @ Jun 7 2012, 09:20 PM) i thought that you will not feel the shift shock due to CVT even in S mode? i'm using CVT also but not proton..correct me if i'm wrong but i believe when u drive in D mode you will not feel the gear change rite?so this will apply to S mode oso? sorry noobie ere.... D mode - yes, smooth S mode (Sport) - can feel a littlebit.. but this S mode best for Speeding.... sometimes because of too much mode, newbie just use D everytime..what a wastage... use D mode once u move slowly from 0km/h then when u are ready to accelerate use S mode... using paddle shift in S mode better than use in D mode... simply to say use D mode in city, but use S mode in Highway.... but its your car, use it whatever u want..hehe |
