We Preve owners are really like MacGyver, able to DIY on small issues. Where to get insulation sheet in KL? hmm.gif

Hi Gigabit, you can go to air-con parts supplier shop, I'm 99% sure they sell this (tube or sheet type also have).
I bought mine from this kind of shop. smile.gif

Just now tried to remove the rear speaker panel (or rear dashboard?), but was not successful. sad.gif

Great! But be careful each time you take the lock from front passenger floor, slowly and steadily place it below your steering. So heavy, can't afford to scratch any part of your interior. I always make sure my car door is locked and take my own sweet time locking and unlocking it.

When Locking, leave Aircond on.
When unlocking, make sure car doors locked. icon_rolleyes.gif

First of all, hat off for the DIY effort, I'm too afraid to open the dashboard XD

Second, those pillar cover are meant for curtains airbag smile.gif

Brilliant hangar mod. Mat79 take note biggrin.gif

BTW, are there third market meter display on the market yet? I cannot get pass the Jaguar XF meter they use. I rather like the conventional display and best I've seen on proton is in the Waja CPS. Most sensible looking. Proton should use that on the Preve to make it more premium

With all the electronics in there, it won't be cheap even if the aftermarket stuff are here

True, then whoever is doing the styling in Proton has to change the design method. Having something that looks trendy, like a watch looks great first time, but when you need to view it forever while driving will put people off.

I've owned the savvy few years and the dashboard puts me off. Same case with Saga FLX. The persona dash is better. Blue tint is fine if you are using those new lighting spec is fine (don't know what its called), having blue tint like the satria neo or the old Saga just before new saga is terrible. Proton needs to remember driver fatigue and add this to future design. Try driving 8 hours at night and then keep seeing blue or red (in some BMW's) will strain the eyes. Also having one standardise design helps in brand association. Ford, VW, new Hyundai's are doing it. You instantly know its a VW just by looking at the meter even though you do not get the model right. Standardise the design also lowers cost? (though I think it won't be significant).

I really think Proton should have a meter design competition or survey let people choose. The Jaguar XF meter that the Preve use works on the Jaguar because there are stuff displayed below the the number dials like ABS, seatbelt, EBD etc. On the Preve, it makes the number cluster smaller, thus lowering the premium feeling. Fonts too big too thick could be the cause of the meter feeling small than it is. Problem is Proton knows how to do good meter display. The Persona Elegance has a good meter design. I still maintain that the Waja CPS has the best meter display on any Proton. Maybe I'll make a thread just showing all proton display and ask people to choose which they prefer laugh.gif

Thats my IMHO, and I think there are a lot of people who like the Preve meter beter.

if the service booklet stated 36 month warranty, what to do? ask SA to replace the service booklet? or just leave it alone? since 5 years warranty for preve is already a known fact...
*
My service booklet also state 36 months but at the back of the book if i can remember correctly, it is stated 5 yrs warranty and date of booklet published on March 2012.

basher will condemn when see this your situation..."You see..Proton car always like that..even new car rosak already"...

p/s: battery terminal always need to check..sometimes due to white plat from oxidation may cause no power contact from battery to the engine..when remove the white plat..work as usual...
