How is the battery life on Lumia 800? I have a galaxy nexus but the battery life sucks. I kinda miss my iphone 4 battery life, it was so good! Anyone here can make a comparison between these 3 phones? Thanks.

How is the quality of this phone's night shots?

Most important tip is make sure the lens do not have any finger print for a start.

I think can confirm Umobile on 3g can drain the battery faster then any other operator :/ due to less coverage especially in klang valley huhu it keep trying to find 3g or Hspa. The diagnostic battery become 200mA above and hotter when it keep searching on n off.

So i force enable Edge only n now wow the battery last more then 20 hours on normal usage compare to around 12 hours even put on idle. Its not that slow.. Okla. Not watching youtube on data. I left chrging at around 1am today till now 2pm still got 70% left. I even enable wifi n blutooth on. Impressed.

NODO trick:
1) On your phone, go to Setting->Network Connection. Disable your Data Connection. Disable your WiFi too if it is connected.
2) Connect your phone to the computer via USB. Zune will automatically detect your phone. Go to your Phone Settings in Zune. Look for the UPDATE button in the list.
3) Now, here is the important part, which wasn't clearly explained in a lot of tutorial. Get a stopwatch/timer, click UPDATE. Depending on your network speed, it will prompt that your phone is already in most updated version. Lets says the time it took to detect the update version is 7 seconds.
4) Click cancel. Then click UPDATE again. Unplug your LAN cable (or disable WiFi if you are on wireless) after 5-6.5 seconds you clicked UPDATE. Zune will continue to check for update. If you timed it well, it will prompt that there is a new OS version.
5) REMEMBER, replug in your LAN cable/WiFi. Then click Update and wait patiently. It will take around 15 minutes per update. It will update from 8107 -> 8112. Then redo Step 4, you will get 8773. All these were only OS update. After updated to 8773, let Zune continue to look for new software, you will get Nokia firmware update automatically. This is for the FW version 1750.0805.8773.12220 for Malaysia unlock set.

You may to try Step 4 a lot of times....it needs a lot of patience. You need to switch off your Internet connection around 1s before you it says no update. I was about to give up last night, until the very last try, I got the new update prompt. 

The reason behind this method could be due to Microsoft's way of distributing update. They are implementing "throttling" update, which means only selected number of phones (means random) will get the update prompt. This number will be increased from time to time. If you notice the first time you do Step 3, Zune will pull around ~500KB data before it says you do not have update. I suspect the server is sending a flag (at the very end of step 3) to our Zune to say it does not have update, when in fact it has....just that they are randomly sent. By disabling your network, your Zune did not get that flag.

While we are on this.... wanna ask, who can successfully install Camera Extras? 

On the new update, I feels that the
1. battery consumption is higher,
2. Program loads slower, even opening Settings is slower than before,
3. Data connection down more often in a day, this may be due to digi network problem
Basically I don't see anything nice about the new update except internet thetering.

Hi, I got my mom the lumia 800 2 days ago. I chose it over android and the rest because of how simple and straightforward the phone is. She loves the phone, considering she had a very chokia nokia last time ( lol ).

The disappointment came when she had it for the first day and found out there is no light for sms notification. I told her I'd look at the phone to find any settings that may help.

I know that the iphone can make a notification sound up to 5 times every minute to notify arrival of a new message. There should be SOMEthing the phone can pro-actively do to signal new messaging right? Maybe flash the windows home LED key ?  Or is this thing not yet implemented or will come in the new windows phone update?

I believe the price for Lumia 800 will dropped until RM999 for now. The Gardens's Nokia center was selling at that price too.

Lumia 800 users please don't butthurt.

guys i just got the lumia 800 today. got it for free do i have to charge the phone for 8 hours for the first time charging like the old school phones?
