OPULENTUS#1513 my very first beloved hardcore sorceress Elynna is alive and kicking ass at level 30 in Act IV. Add me and we can down diablo together.
There's something about downing bosses together in hardcore mode; and in that fight, facing tense moment will bring you closer together.
I'll always remember that boss fight with Azmodan; it was just the me and this female monk against a very real threat of death. We planned the bossfight together, decided on a tactic, executed it and succeeded together. Good times , good times.
30? Good, my Barb is 30 as well. I will add you when I go back tonight. I very stress going into Arreat Crater alone. This is my story.

So last night, I was happily pushing along Arreat Crater level 1. I was a level 29 or so Barbarian. As I pushed deeper into the levels, I started getting a little uncomfortable. The mobs were starting to hit a little harder than my regeneration and "life on hit" were giving me. But I pushed on anyways, ignoring that bad feeling.
I managed to get to Arreat Crater level 2 while developing a HUGE dislike for Fallen Lunatics (those fat guys running around with staffs buffing the mobs around them). Deep into the level, I start chasing 2 of these fat slobs only to run into a WHOLE screen of enemies. I was surrounded, trapped by all the mobs around me. My red globe on the left started falling fast. The edges of my screen slowly became tinted with red and the tint kept creeping to the centre of my screen.
By now, my pots were on cool down, my stuns were used. Even my revenge could not keep my HP up. I only had 1 more option. Call of the Ancients. And it was GLORIOUS! The moment I called them out, they wrecked havoc on the enemies. They distracted the mobs and took many hits that were meant for me while killing tonnes of those little buggers. With that, I managed to save my barbarian and port to safety.
TL;DR - Almost die, Call of the Ancients saved my butt. GREAT SUCCESS
