Have been playing games on the Xbox for the past 2 weeks since the demise of my PS3, but just can't seem to get use to the layout of the x360 controller. I find the Lt analog stick placement awkward, causing strain in my palms as i struggle to balance the heavy controller and reach for the shoulder buttons at the same time while gaming. Any x360 veterans here who thinks otherwise? Or am i just holding it the wrong way.
The only substitute I can find is the Logitech f710 but it is for Windows. Any ideas?

i am afraid the f710 is windows and ps3 only...

y did u leave the ps3 scene?

My PS3 YLOD'ed (phat 40GB). It served me faithfully for 4 years. Kamikaze'd with the newly downloaded Mass Effect 3 (from terion) and all my saves doh.gif
Since I've played most of the hot PS3 titles, and the consoles are nearing the end of their life cycle, I thought to give the x360 a try. I got it for cheaps too (4GB version). Totally different world. I find the games more pricey though in lyn with less variety, probably because piracy is easier and more rampant with x360. But I did get a few games at a bargain though from fellow lyns at x360 pasar malam.

So currently, my sole complaint is the controller. Why do u guys label the PS controllers as inhuman? I don't get it. It's symmetrical like how our hands are symmetrical. The x360 controller strains my hands, so 0 points for ergonomy. Yes, i am using the index finger for L/RB and middle finger for L/RT. In fact, i thought they switched the D-pad with the Lt analog stick just to avoid copyright infringement lawsuits from Sony tongue.gif

Thanks, but won't be getting this coz i want wireless gaming.

Anyways, I hope i'll get used to the x360 controller soon.

Point taken. Forgive me if I sound like a PS3 fanboy trolling the x360 thread. My true intention is only to get feedback from x360 veterans here with regards to the controller use. I enjoyed Mass Effect 2 using the PS3 controller (index on L/R1, middle on L/R2), aiming, shooting, and calling up menus effortlessly without relocating the fingers. Since the x360 controller's layout is different, I will definitely give Kidicarus's method a try on ME3.

As for the games, i'm definitely enjoying them. The graphics for one, is definitely more polished and the frame rates better in multiplat games. The in-game lighting is more pleasing to the eyes too.

Kidicarus have provided reason why it's superior in Xbox fanbois. For the games, you're comforted by the fact that you can get it downloadable at low price because of the PSN rule am I right? If you go out and shop for the retail games, the price is mostly the same, more or less.

If u check out our lyn dealers, u'll see that the price for new releases are comparable on both consoles, but the price drop is slow for x360 games compared to the ps3 for not-so-hot-anymore games. And yes, some full retail games are much cheaper when we "share" on the PSN. If only we can buy XBLA games using US MS points...

Thanks for the info.
Bought US MS points from www.maximuscards.com, 1600 points for RM79 (much cheaper than SG MS points), redeemed on US gamertag, bought shadow complex, now playing the game using SG gamertag smile.gif

Why are you doing that? You should stick just to the US account. So that everything you've purchased is in one account. It'll be inconvenient to switch into one another to buy and play.

But i thought by using US GT in Asia, i will be pooled with US gamers in online games, causing lag?

@samowong Also, generally the default price for MS points is 10USD=800msp, if you can link a credit card, you would be doing far better than maximuscards.  Also on play-asia SG points are going for RM79 for 1600.

Offgamers.com is currently doing US MS points for RM70 for 1600 and RM167 for 4000 which is better value for money than what you were quoting.

Sorry, my bad. Just checked my CC statement. The exact transacted cost for 1600 USmsp is USD21.95 (RM 70.12) from maximus.com. I didn't want to leave my CC details on XBL coz i won't be able to delete it.

Nope. You will still play with Asian peoples because the IP used on your Xbox is from Asian country, unless you connect to Xbox Live through a US-based VPN. My friend does it all the time, save the money and still get to play with Asians.

I'm mistaken then. There's no way of transferring Achievements btw gamertags right? Guess i'll just stick to the SG gt then. As for mspoints, i still am not comfortable leaving CC details on XBL. Thanks for the info smile.gif

If i remember correctly, i can delete the card details after i'm done shopping on PSN. Same goes for Amazon. It's safer in case Anonymous decides to go for XBL smile.gif
