QUOTE(evofantasy @ Aug 4 2007, 08:40 PM)
thanks for the info lepakboy...
my version of korlash is somewhat different as its korlash teachings (3 dimir houseguard and 3 teachings main)

from my testing last time i can handle angle fire kinda well..
faith fetters are not a problem since i splash green for krosan...
boom/bust are easily extirpated after the first usage..
all of their creatures are easily killable with my removals...
and best of all is their slower speed comapred to aggro...

Narcolepsy can be handled with extirpate alone (and teachings can tutor for it)

MGA was really bad from my testing that day jsut liek u said...
so i'm considering loxodon warhammer to equip to korlash and start beating...

R/G gargadon is bad when my tendrils cant hit them for lifegain and their blazing speed...
during my testing i maange to survive only by tendril on my own creatures...

as for rise and fall realyl tempted to add them but my past testing wit them aint so well (maybe i didnt use them at the right time)...
still i'll try them again during the next FNM...

oh ya forgot to mention that with the dual lands (lend them from wai seng) i can try adding wall of roots as early blockers...

BGW wish i did seen quite a number of them during regionals here and it is kinda good but its jsut like basically all good stuffs in a deck..
it handles aggro very well but looses out to control...

erm 7 chai 4 of each XD
how much for those?
offer discount k hehe

and can lend 3 rise/fall and 2 loxodon warhammer for the qualifiers?
broke d cause bought a damnation and some red cards T.T
*
why u bought damnation ? lol

rise/fall can borrow lar, Loxodon I also dun have. NH I sell for 4 each and the NRFW I need to check.

Well, there's nothing wrong with casual playing. It's just as fun.

Guess it's really difficult and takes a lot of time and money to play competitively huh?
Great to hear that u r familiar with S'ban. Whenever u r down, do contact me....

Rogue is one thing, but we just can't ignore the obviously good cards right? e.g tarmagoyf
*
Okay, tarmagoyf are widely using in Aggro, aggro control deck. So if u can afford that card, why not ? Its like, if u play green is either tarmogoyf or troll ascetic would give u more winning condition. Of coz it depends on what kind of deck u building/playing.

QUOTE(Holi^oNe @ Aug 10 2007, 05:03 AM)
You got it almost spot on. The reason why people normally net-deck is because they don't have the time to spend tweaking and fine-tuning decks of their own creation. Besides it's not only has to do with how you want the deck to perform by itself but also how does the deck peform against the rest of the field (or meta).

Most simple and efficient way is to net-deck and sideboard according to your local metagame. Say you expect lots of dredge at a compy , then you'll prepare your sideboard more towards Dredge , same goes for other decks.

But to be honest , with worldwide nationals coming up and all . The current metagme has got quite a few decks which are quite good at the moment. Most notable are the different variants of blink decks which utilize Momentary Blink and Venser. Rakdos and OmniChord also seem to be quite popular too. On the fringe of these decks will probably be decks like Mono-Green Aggro and Red-deck Wins.
By the way for anyone who is interested in drafting , I'm trying to organize an 8 man pod for this Saturday at around 3pm @ Manawerx. I'm trying to keep this pod open for the intermediate players , so the picking order will be 1-1-1-1 formula. If anyone is interested can probably post here or drop me a pm / sms.

So far I would say Omnichord would be the finest control deck.
