Hand disruption decks play a compliment of 4 maindeck.

Turn 1 Cry of Contrition, most of the time opponent will choose a card they have 4 ofs as they think they have a possibility to draw to it faster, that's when you hit em' BAM extirpate. Goodbye.

card is called Glimpse of the Unthinkable. The card was RM 30-40 when packs were cracked in the pre-release. Now it can't even ramp up to RM 5.

If you wanna draft drop by Restoran Al-Esfan, Plaza Berjaya, opposite Times Square on this Saturday 2.00 PM onwards.

PM me if you wish to have contact. Thanks.

Yes, but you don't have to come early as our players are known to be late comers. The reason we say it starts 2.00 PM is so that they'll reach here 2.30 - 3.00 PM. Normally we'll have constructed tournament followed by a draft but since this coming Sunday is PTQ San Diego with 2HG format, we're gonna be practicing 2HG Sealed and draft. We're also trying to slot in another session this coming Wednesday as the demand is there but not confirmed yet.

Below is the information on the upcoming 2HG tournament:-

I wanted to draft actually but the pods are full, and I'm always the low priority player. Anyways, been watching Evo's draft with my half-sleepy eyes, you drafted quite good, just imbalanced. Mark(your left) and Kar Wye (your right) were going bonkers with their color and ended up with weak 2c and 1csplash meanwhile the other half of the pod got overpowered draft. Now you gotta learn how to signal. This will make sure the pod draft is balanced and not some random lucksack wins the draft just because he/she was fed heavily.

Cheers.

An example of signal, my 1st TS pack has White Akroma, Errant Ephemeron, Castle Raptor etc. I took Ephemeron and pass the rest giving a strong signal to play white (if you took Akroma that's not sending any signal at all since there are quality blue AND white card). As the draft proceed, left guy would've noticed blue cards dwindling but were being fed white. Therefore hopefully in the next pack, your left guy, now passing right would've feed you some quality blue cards, as he's concentrating on W/x decks.

Signalling actions should end at the beginning of the 2nd pack. After that, its all about making your deck stronger with some filler cards. 3rd pack, should start to counter draft, taking cards which are deemed too strong if fallen on the wrong hands.

After all this, its time to make your deck, but that's a totally different ball game and I shall not elaborate further. But at least by drafting this way, you would feel that you had a balanced draft and everybody stands an equal chance of winning and not just lose to a well fed lucky *******.

Peace.

Mini Tournament Report - Prerelease Mania - 1st

Deck used - Mono Red Aggro:-
Main Deck:-
20 Mountain
4 Scorched Rusalka
4 Magus of the Scroll
4 Rift Bolt
4 Dead // Gone
4 Brute Force
4 Blood Knight
4 Keldon Marauders
4 Volcanic Hammer
4 Sulfur Elemental
4 Char

Sideboard:-
4 Cryoclasm
4 Stone Rain
2 Avalanche Riders
2 Demonfire
2 Shattering Spree
1 Fungal Reaches

Round 1 - Boros Deck Wins
Game 1 - Got hammered with Boros Swiftblade with double Brute Force and he ran outta gas after that. Burned the living daylights outta him.
Game 2 - It was a close game with him at 4 and me 5. EOT he tried to Helix my head but in response I CHARred him. His expression was priceless.
1-0

Round 2 - GBWU Dragons
Game 1 - 1x Scorched Rusalka and 3x Brute Force dealt him 13 damage finished him off with burn . I SB in 2 Shattering Spree and 2 Volcanic Hammer out coz I saw 4 signets before he dies.
Game 2 - Bring him down 3 life and looking at the Shattering Spree in hand with no signets in play. I ran outta gas. Sided in Volcanic Hammer again.
Game 3 - I got a super slow hand and he proceed to accelerate like hell, with SIGNETS!!! to Teneb and Vorosh. Ironic.
1-1

Round 3 - The Standard Perfect Storm aka TSPS
Since this is my teammate I was offered the win to boost me up. Played for fun.
2-1

Round 4 - URW Angelfire
Game 1 - My opponent played lotsa signets but no fatties. By the time Lightning Angel comes, his life is already low enough to burn him out. Sided in my LD package with minimal creature.
Game 2 - This time he manage to get LA early but I kept his lands at bay with LD and Gone on his Angels. Turns out he had to Faith Fetter my lands as my creatures are a no show. Burns from Chars and Cryoclasms finished him off.
3-1

Round 5 - RG Aggro
Against RG, 1 Stormbind is enough to wipe out my whole team.
Game 1 - He kept a hand with Stormbind and lands, I lose.
Game 2 - He kept a 1-lander with Stormbind and 4 Rift Bolts, I win.
Game 3 - He don't have Stormbind, I win.
4-1

Round 6 - Project X
My teamate is at 13 points and me 12. He can comfortably give me the win and still both advance to Top 8. Went to lunch at Asia Cafe @ 3 PM
5-1

Top 8
Round 7 - RG Aggro - Quarterfinals
Same as Round 5
6-1

Round 8 - RGW Zoo - Semifinals
Game 1 - He got a fast start and double Charred me for the win.
Game 2 - Keldon Marauders + Brute Forces and Dead // Gone to clear the way.
Game 3 - He white screwed and proceed to beat him senseless. He died with Lightning Helixes in hand.
7-1

Round 9 - Dragonstorm - Finals
Dragonstorm is a walk in the park, provided that he don't have an insane hand.
Game 1 - I got Double Marauders and a Sulfur Elemental beating him down while he tries to buy time with Gigadrowses, not good enough, Hammers and Char finish the job. Sided in LD package + Demonfires.
Game 2 - I kept applying pressure in LD his lands till he had to break and hard-cast Bogardan Hellkite with double Lotus Bloom, totally wiped out my team. EOT I Charred his face bringing him down to 3 life. He swings with Hellkite while I was drawing lands. But he stopped when I was at 8 life, fearing for Sulfur Elemental, which I had sided out. I topdecked, played the last land, and blast his face with a Hellbent Demonfire for 7, and that's 4 free session for Future Sight Prerelease. icon_idea.gif

Comments: I wouldn't have gone all the way without my teammates. My thanks to F3NIX and Ebichu-sama if they're reading this. thumbup.gif

that won't happen with cards like "One With Nothing" you mentioned. Mike will probably rate it at old newspaper rate as it is non-standard unplayable rare. Just to give you a hint, 3x Hallowed Fountains will probably get you 2 sessions.

You'll probably need like 500 "One with Nothing"-like quality cards to exchange for 1 session. As I say, old newspaper rate. sweat.gif
