I found a fix for those that cannot download the latest update, for my problem is that i downloaded the enGB version of installer which no update atm but then by editing agent.db will allow you to download the latest patch.

1. use Notepad open "agent.db" this file

Win7&Vista is in C:\ProgramData\Battle.net\Agent\agent.db
WinXP is in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Battle.net\Agent\agent.db

2. find http://enGB.patch.battle.net:1119/patch and change to http://enUS.patch.battle.net:1119/patch
* there should be 2 link which is enGB, replace both with enUS.

3. goto program files/Diablo III, find agent.DB and repeat step 2 but in this agent.db only 1 link with enGB

4. after replacing all, save and run diablo 3 like normal then it shall start patching.

^ lol i taught that to my friends and they say its not working. Gee. I knew it that works cause a guy in few pages behind says he did it.

if you just change the agent.DB in diablo III folder it wont work, you have to change the one in battle.net\agent folder as well.

still getting the same thing? If I'm not wrong from my trial and errors, by changing the agent.DB for the battle.net folder it shall lead your launcher to have the download progress bar but it will stuck at "initializing" (well that's for my case just now) after you change the agent.db in diablo III folder as well it shall start downloading, but before that check your "Task Manager" if there is agent.exe running in background, if it is running end task it.

just change the URL to US... mine is SG client.. so I change from SG to US in both files.. it works! thanks!

Yeah, should be the same. No harm trying, if everything else not working you can change it back anytime.

just a suggestion but it's always better to backup the file that you're editing (: just to be cautious.

ok bro i found out whats the problem, i had 3 agent files LMAO 2 shown on search tab, 1 last one hidden in a folder, thx bro, it worked

if everything fails....

just reinstall the game.
