Hypnosis is one effective mode of treatment.

Drugs used are the atypical neuroleptics - aripiprazole, olanzapine, venlafaxine,
risperidone, ziprasidone, and they second/third generation anticonvulsants,
levetiracetam and lamotrigine.

I believe levetiracetam would be the safest since it is a nootropic related to
the other racetams.
