That is baseband not firmware version. MSIAN firmware is LP9
I think he is confused between baseband n firmware
So if he already updated through kies his firmware should be lp9 already n no need update further using odin

Stunner is based on LP kernel. That is why you must flash abyss 4.2 n use its recovery to wipe data n caches than use it to flash rom. Very important must use this abyss kernel to avoid hard brick

MMS need phone 3g be activated. It goes through telco data network. Don't confuse it with internet which you need to pay separately for data services

King Droid nice to look but not nice to eat
It lags vs rocket ROM n at time sudden freeze when launch app

That means you have no full root only partial root

You can provided it is in tar format or in zimage file

What file type did you use ?
Off phone. Try boot to recovery n flash the zip file from there instead

I did it withoput flashing LPY for a friend today , phone went into continuous bootloop even moving from another ICS rom ( Alba)
I flash mine directly from CyanogenMod no problem

You can safely flash it using MOP provided the rom file is in tar format

I suggest you wipe data and it is OK to flash CF kernel too same time if you wish.

Added on May 28, 2012, 9:57 pmI always wipe data in all my ICS roms - I have tested all since Lp5, LP6, LPY, LPF, LP9 . I have tested it wiping in its default recovery and also at settings too
This wiping data fear is overblown and exaggerated

If you really want to wipe data, safest way do it through Abyss Kernel 4.2 recovery and after that flash back your ICS rom. If not after using Abyss Kernel 4.2 phone will not boot back to your ICS rom

Yes I tested factory reset from settings. And factory reset will NOT remove root
Go and read in XDA and count within your 5 fingers how many users has hard brick phone factory resetting and wiping data
I don't always believe what other people say. I convince myself by testing . Same principles I apply in testing roms. I am always prepare to hard brick my phone , so I have no worry. I have another G Note as spare

Most is 3-4 secs only it will reboot to recovery

One user asked previously about King Droid. I have written it off against Rocket V2. My last test was on KingDroid v1.6
I just tested KingDroid V2 past 3 hours and I must say it is still inferior vs Rocket V2 ; at least it is still not as slick, smooth as Rocket. In Touchwiz mode selecting apps and especially widgets to homescreen was just miserable slow and laggy
Anyway now back to my CyanogenRom9
