im using rocket rom ics last night.. the phone still running fine until i flashed cyanogen 9
the phone restarted and then it just stays off...
couldnt power on or anything.. no respond at all..
you think usb jig would do the trick ?
if i order i also have to wait till tomorrow only can try on my note.. or should i send it to samsung service centre ?

Damn!!
Now I'm really have to think twice whether to flash ICS or not.
I thought we Malaysian are brick proof because no one bricked their Note until now.

I'm afraid not bro.
The only way is to send your precious note to the SC and need to change motherboard.
all the bricked guys in XDA did that.

Uncle, maybe can add additional warning and instruction on nandroid backup and restore...

When on ICS, it is ok to make a backup with the CWM recovery that came with the ROM but must ONLY restore after flashing Abyss 4.2.

Hi, i have a big trouble now. i have successfully flash ICS from unrooted stock GB ROM using PC Odin.  and after reading about the ICS issue that decided to flash back Rooted GB Singapore ROM using PC Odin. Everything done accordingly and PASS obtained. But now, cannot open Contact, Phonepad and calendar. when you press on icon,just go back home screen. I get msg on screen during application installed time as :
" Unfortunately. the .process com.android.phone has stopped""unfortunately.calendar storage has stopped""Unfortunately TW launcher has stopped"

Can someone advise me know to do now?

Duckies, the RRv2 comes with CWM, just do a backup like normal... but if ever wanna do a restore, remember to FLASH TO ABYSS 4.2, then only restore....

i thought they keep mentioning DO NOT wipe data in ICS recovery?  Dun even do a factory reset in ICS rom too - be it official or custom rom?

Mine is Umobile as well , no issue with the data.

         

Have you reboot the phone and also check the data is on in the setting.
Also check the APN.
if not, call U Mobile.

Reboot it, still doesn't work, borrow sim card from your friend and test.
If have data then U mobile is sakit.

go to settings> mobile network> accesspoint names, check its on umobile internet or umobile mms. it shud be under internet. under some farney circumstances it will jump to umobile mms without reason.

no problem with u mobile data this morning in KL. i was using it at about 7-830am. in fact, i was surprised still got data since my SIM card is a prepaid one and supposed to expire back in march. tried the card to see if its still active... then go topup.

see-see... voice calls barred... but got data wor... so... apa lagi... use la... heh heh... later will top up.

but this is a nice loophole. i use my u mobile for data only anyway... so. voice barred, ok la... i dun care. i get super powderful speed (compared to digi).
