yesterday i just bought sigma 19mm, so was thinking the lens lineup..

mostly doing travelling, street photography.. not so pro just wan to capture the best scenes..

pakai 14mm cheap cheap one first, f2.5 not bad mah.

no i dont have 14mm.... that's kit lens from panasonic whereas i'm olyer..

i usually play around with 14-42mm only..

u want UV filter...go get b+w UV with nano coat, around RM160 for 46mm.
especially if ur lens already got nano coat, why want to put a inferior piece of glass / filter in front of it?

put in front of ur PL25? same also

cleaning nano coat is very easy.
water drops, minyak all no problem.
but if u see what a cheap filter can do, which is introduce more flare, reduce contrast etc, it'll make u feel like removing it...should just let the PL25 nano coat do its natural job.
thats why better to buy a good filter also with nano coat like the b+w.

well to each their own.
i dont use filters.
its very rare for the glass to get scratched etc, new ones also are pretty scratch resistant.
usually if u drop a camera, either the mount or lens barrel will crack...not that often lens will get anything.

u understand what i said? i didnt say will not happen.
anyway all my nikon dslr lenses also got no filters.
i've put a hoya SHMC in front of one of them once, and got flare...and that hoya already is considered pretty ok...so i only put it on sometimes when going into areas with lots of sand like a beach etc.

thats why i still recommend dont put a cheap filter over a lens with nano coat...go for the best u can afford...like the b+w nano coat filter.

plus the original post was directed to that subrok007 who wanted to buy a cheap filter...

I'm using Marumi Super DHG Protect for my Panny 12-35 f2.8 and so far very pleased with the outcome.
Previously I'm using Hoya HD UV filter but not happy coz still have the occasional flare.

I'm also using 49mm B+W MRC nano for my SMC Takumar which is very good but the price is much higher compared to Marumi, with almost similar result.
So Marumi DHG Super Protect gets my vote 

Just got 35-100mm. Really respect the quality of the picture but must be F4. F2.8 not that sharp.
