QUOTE(kimimaro_kun @ Aug 3 2012, 09:26 PM) Nice idea. it wont disturb the water parameter right?? mine same like ures, well, so far its ok, but once, i opened the valve too big... and some mineral oil manage to leave the BC, but it stays in the tube lol also, in case some of the oil reaches in your tank, your partial water change regime will lessen the effect, and so far, mineral oil will act as a laxative for the faunas in small quantities from my observation.

Guys, got a question, why do i need to help myself not to feeding the fishes for 2 days after i re-transfer them into a new tank? is it to prevent the silicone glue excess leftover to contaminate the foods?

guys, for all of you who have 3ft++ tanks and using really huge rocks as the hardscape, do you put some kind of hard foam or something underneath the rocks/stones/boulders inside the tank? or you guys dont? wont the tank base glass crack or break if i dont put them under? thanx

QUOTE(Goldiger79 @ Aug 7 2012, 09:58 AM) What is your definition of huge? How heavy? I see video of amano setup the 7meter tank.. He put the foams below. I think all depends on surface of your rock and the weight. If rock surface is large but heavy still ok. If rock surface is small but heavy then maybe got problem to the glass that is being pressure.
QUOTE(jiejian @ Aug 7 2012, 01:26 PM) if im not mistaken i think Mr. Amano put d foam is because he wan the rock to ''present themselves'' more in his scape... i guess how big a stone will still be bac to the Qs of how thick ur glass is and how r u supporting ur tank... just my 2 cents.. QUOTE(arrow @ Aug 7 2012, 01:32 PM) if no solid answer then apply 'common sense', if you can hide those foam nicely under substrate , better safe than sorry, use it. . thanx for the infos. well, truthfully, never saw anyone that i know before using foam when rescaping their 3-4ft tank infront of my eyes. then i remembered amano using them, thats why im curious.QUOTE(kimimaro_kun @ Aug 7 2012, 01:45 PM) @LuQEE, already got your new tank huh??? how's your mother?? just 3ft for my oscar, inside my ROOM!! my father saw the empty 2 ft tank, and asked me to transffered my 1.5ft imhabitant into it, but im planning to get a proper tank this time, so have to wait to fork money for a crystal clear glass and a suitable cabinet. wish me luck. my mom gave no comment though..
