i wonder how it the unknown person hack ur account? how they know ur username & password? hmm.gif

It has happen to other company before in the past where hackers are able to gain password from the company's database. Asiasoft was a victim, their MMO Maplestory had a leak some years ago. Sony is a popular example of hackers gaining access to user info and credit card info too.

Given the large number of users in D3, its no surprise that some of the best hackers who do these stuff targets Blizzard.

Those gold sellers suddenly have so much gold to sell at cheap prices. Its no coincidence. hmm.gif

https://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/5149539239#4

"an exploit was discovered by duplicating a session ID
basically, if you join a public game with people, they can view your session ID and spoof it to login as you without need for a password or email or anyting
if you play with people, try not to play in public games bro, only with people you know"

IF this is true, this explains why authenticator will not help at all. There's nothing you can do to prevent it except to stay away from public games for the moment.

Blizzard should really release an official statement about this. shakehead.gif

Funny thing is Blizzard continue to ignore the problem specific to Diablo 3 illegal access.

They have just release an official statement on the forum, but its about Battle.net account. doh.gif

The problem seems to be within Diablo 3 itself. And they completely ignored that issue.

In my case, i did not lost any items, just gold. The weird thing is my lost gold is about 500k which is the same amount that bought from forumer here.

My thought is, Blizzard my saw the sudden trade of 500k and flag it as illegal activity and minus back the amount. Now my gold is about the same amount before i bought the 500k. All my jewel and item are still there tho. I dunno.. a lesson learn maybe not to buy gold.

Yes, although selling gold will be legal later on, its ONLY in RMAH. Never buy gold outside of RMAH.

In other MMO games, people do get banned for buying illegal gold. Its not hard to trace where the gold goes to.
