QUOTE(miyakochan89 @ Jun 29 2015, 05:26 PM) Haha! the competitive swimmer was a long long long long loooooooooooong time ago. After I stopped, i immediately gained so much weight and very hard to even catch up to that speed anymore. And now it's freaking hard to lose those fats, have to rely on diet really. 30% exercise and 70% diet. Haha all d best yohI also ex kaki swimmer till last 3 years ago Now put more weight than last time aiks This post has been edited by skylinelover: Jun 30 2015, 12:44 PM |

QUOTE(Garena @ Jul 8 2015, 07:04 PM) Swimming pool is really hard to come by in Malaysia, because Malaysia is not a swimming friendly country, same goes to cycling etc. Unlike in the USA and Australia - Swimming pools. Swimming pools everywhere! haha dang so true Condo pools usually are not rectangular pool, because most of them are designed for people to play water, hence it is not preferred for swimming laps. Serious swimmers usually will look for rectangular pool or at least Olympic-length pool. Finding an Olympic-size condo pool is like dredge for a needle in the sea. Go to public pool instead. But bear in mind most of them are not Olympic-size pool, they are just Olympic-length. i guess swimming will never be our forte since we never won any swimming gold medals in asian games at all |

QUOTE(SportyHandling @ Jul 9 2015, 12:28 PM) Yes, no new talent for the past 10 years. The Asian swimmers have improved by leaps and bounds as Japan and China usually rule the pool. If Malaysians can get medals in the Asean arena, it is good enough. Now we are lacking behind Singapore vastly due to the emergence of a new breed of powerful swimmers, mainly Joseph Schooling who can give the Japanese and Chinese top swimmers a run for the money. Haha well saidSo this alex lim he doing now what? Is he retired from swimming already? |

QUOTE(El-LoboSolitario @ Jul 10 2015, 04:40 PM) Well that's... pretty looong time lol haha same here Never too late, you pretty much got the right idea, diet does play a huge part in weight control. For me, if exercise doesn't cut it, control the diet, and vice versa, has to be balance to see the outcome. And taking food before bed time and gobble up lots of food in one meal are also bad eating habits that may lead to undesired weight gain... or so i believe And utmost, the lesson learned from you, do not stop swimming for too long, LOL Damn, I gotta find a way to get back into swimming |

QUOTE(~Joey~ @ Apr 22 2016, 11:00 AM) You're welcome Haha wuuu dangerous I went there yesterday for the 6 to 8 session as well. One thing to note about is the pool water seems to be a bit murky. Not sure if it was due to the constructions nearby. Even with my goggles on, I can't really see anything further than 5 meters away when I'm underwater lol. I guess this is the only downside as of now. There is once i knocked my head due 2 murky water Dang pain but not cut just big bruise 4 a week like that |

QUOTE(scoutfai @ Oct 29 2016, 02:39 PM) I think the pool management does not have alternative because their changing room is in the pool area. I think last week got an incident where a swimmer tries to wet himself prior to swimming using the shower outside. Then instead of coming out cool water, hot water was pouring out, burn his skin a bit i think. He is wearing swim trunk and naked on top. Then i saw him complaint, pack up and went home directly already. I think I was lucky didn't use that shower head. I felt sorry for that guy. QUOTE(johny2k @ Oct 29 2016, 03:29 PM) QUOTE(scoutfai @ Oct 29 2016, 03:39 PM) I cannot be 100% sure, but i keep hearing the guy says hot water hot water. Wow that must be be sucked then and then I saw several staff gather around the shower head. I knew something must be wrong because that guy looks seriously pissed. So just to be caution, next time i will open little water to test the temperature first before turn it to fully open. |

Haha i been pro swim breastroke and freestyle since standard 4 but retired since 5 years ago as long u wont sink and able to swim then you are good to go ... how long i swim ... ermm ... my sister teach me swim when i form 1 (now im 30 years old uncle already .. want to learn freestyle very much .. still self learning ... (ya .. still learning .. unable to swim in freestyle also .. QUOTE(NicoRobinz @ Mar 15 2017, 10:01 AM) 30 years old is still very young especially for guys. 4 me breast stroke actually Well, i'm targeting to learn freestyle for my very first swimming stroke. Actually, what stroke is easiest to learn? QUOTE(djboycalvin @ Mar 15 2017, 10:06 AM) i will say breast stroke ... cause my sister just teach me how to kick and how to crawl .. then everything self learn ... Hahahaha you see how far technology has come thenya .. normally i will see how people swim then try to imitate .. slowly then can swim .. but free style .. till now still not kick well but at least have improvement (ya .. it moving ... slowly .. ) luckily nowadays have youtube .. so can see from youtube .. last time no youtube then need see how people swim at the pool .. QUOTE(NicoRobinz @ Mar 15 2017, 10:23 AM) not many friends are interested in swimming. they are more to body building like going to gym which i think is super overrated. Managed to find a friend but he ditched me about 1 hour before we promised to meet at the entrance of the swimming complex. Ouch most probably i will go to swim alone from now on. Very tired of 'begging' others to go. |
