2 test drives today, my bullet point and incoherent report below (if you haven't notice, whenever I have nothing better to do I'll go look for a quiet showroom and ask for test drive

)
LBLP- 1.5 litre engine, eager to go from standstill, but out of breath when going 100 and above. I attribute this to the Jurassic 4AT.
, I think it becomes heavier than the Gaga steering. How I know? The SA told me to make a U-turn (seems to be a mandatory step in every LBLP test drive
), somehow the steering did not become lighter and I was surprised how much resistance there was.
- I made a half-hearted corner around 50-60 km/h. Fear of turtle notwithstanding, my butt was sliding all over the place thanks to the featureless seat. Bodyroll was naturally noticable in a tall car like this.
- During the turn, instead of drawing out a smooth curve along the corner, for some reason I had to constantly adjust the steering angle to keep it in the line.
- The fit and finish is markedly better than our Gaga.
- Ride is stiffer than the Vios, but more comfortable than my FLX SE.
- At low speed, where the steering becomes light, it is really easy to negotiate potholed-roads. But beware of puking passengers.
- Proven once again, rubbish brakes. Even the SA admits this.
- It is nimble, but not as zippy as a kelisa.
- If paired with a CVT, I believe it can dabao the FLX SE CVT. I think the Manual variant can already do that.
Conclusion : It is a good city car for those who are looking to get from point-A to point-B with as little drama as possible. Nice interior, nice finishing, but overpriced IMO.
Honda Jazz Hybrid- First thing I notice inside the car: A half-hearted, awkward driver's armrest attached to the seat.
- Pickup is gentle, but once you press it the power keeps coming. Characteristics of a CVT, I believe. But the Prius C's power seem to be lacking, even if the engine is larger.
- The dashboard, while not as fancy, thrives in simplicity. I love this much more than the Prius C, which is more information overload than informative.
- Handling was surprisingly good. I took it on a short stretch of twisties (and overtake a Prius and Prius C test drive units along the way

), the bodyroll was less and I can say it gave me more confidence than my Gaga. It did not sacrifice comfort as well.
- Rear seat was also surprising spacious, even if the bench is a bit on the short side.
- Nimble and fast enough for me.
- Trumps the Prius C with 8 airbags (Prius C has 7)
Conclusion : IMO, better buy than the Prius C. I actually wanted to test the CRZ, but they didnt have a test drive unit, so I decided to take the Jazz out for a spin instead.
