Just for your information: some dealers thir outlet boss, manager is the sales person themselves. They're salary base with 0 komisen, therefore they can afford to give away that 500 bucks discount. Outlet itself are entitled incentive if they achieve certain target(which is way higher than commission), which they can claim back from principle.

Another marketing strategy is the outlet boss/manager to promise their sales person to give rebate of up to X amount, whilst they still entitled comission(from the incentive rebate).

To buy cheap new car, go to the outlet boss(if they layan you lar I mean), but their salesman also wanna cari makan. Most probably the boss will get 1 of his favorite salesman to attend you and give instruction something like "ah 9, this is my fren. Make sure you give him diskaun ha!" Then the boss blink his eye give signal to Ah 9. In the end after struggle few more same treatment from different outlet, you figured you're still getting 100/200 diskaun only.

My fren who work in 1 of the "P" outlet said, customer who is good without negotiate too much, he will personally thorw in some free gift. Make sure the car delivered nice & clean. If he very2 hapy with the customer, he will also throw in 100 bucks petrol voucher. However, for those customer who cut his throat 1, he'll disconnet the meter cable/odor sensor bring the car out few days, drive like free company car with a trade plate on it. After that only send to RM3 cyclone car wash. Which is also why some people got their new car & found it like being driven recklessly.

Over & out. None of the above statement direct implying on particular outlet/manufacturer/sales person.

The blue plate is call trade plate, when you see those sohigh with this plate on the road, don't go near. They're the salesman. Car is not theirs, but the plate provide the "goods in transit-in this case a car" insurance coverage even without roadtax. By the way, the story is NOT entirely involved in all outlets. I'm just saying some may be doing it. But for sure some of them are doing it as they offer me the exact same deal to be their broker.

I've been reading quite a bit about strut bars before and after ordering. It seems that you can only feel the difference with a rear one when you're racing hardcore on the track.

QUOTE(dares @ Jun 14 2012, 10:54 PM)
Considering our CVT tend to rev up before the car starts to move, and considering boosting starts the minute the engine starts revving, that means that car havent move the belt ady snap   doh.gif  doh.gif

Or worse, the car will lurch forward, masuk longkang, THEN only snap.
care to share your findings?
For supercharger/compressor type of force induction, the output is more lenient as you describe, it will start boosting when the engine starts. CVT belt is specifically designed to hold certain force, and are well calculated, in supercharged FLX, most probably you're going to get some belt slippage after full boost at higher horse power. Assuming FLX1.3 and SE1.6 uses the same CVT, supposedly 1.6 facing more slippage than the 1.3, but it isn't. Think the manufacturer designed the CVT to uphold certain amount of power deviation/tolerance to ensure reliability and or may be future upgrades on the same platform different power output vehicle. I would rather say, if you only use a small charger to boost 0.6bar on a standard engine, don't think the power can snap the belt in an instant. However, prolong stressed the belt may shorten its life, more belt slip and become loosen is more likely.

Snap belt more likely happened when you have a WRECK brake disc rotor when you're having hai speed braking, or you rebore your engine to 2.0litre hook it up with a TD08 + 10000rpm balanced crank, when your RPM hits 7000 and start to charge your TD08, in a split second your horse power output jumped from 94bhp to 500bhp, then you not only snap your belt, in fact the whole CVT dismantle laugh.gif

I know it doesn't have. Seriously, I don't know the difference, just wanted to test it out. May be r3apers can share some idea here since he already braced his butt.

Well, I found this and this, but I've just noticed the guy's words in the latter were copied from the first link...

In any case, I'll try the front one first and see how it goes. Wanna know how the rear one feels like, just test Unker David's kar biggrin.gif

QUOTE(dares @ Jun 15 2012, 12:04 AM)
The  VT2 CVT in FLX has a torque tolerance up to 186Nm. For the turbocharged 1.6  Campro in exora and preve, they have to upgrade the CVT to VT3, which has higher torque tolerance with bigger and stronger parts, but otherwise similar to the VT2.

The Campro CFE boosts at 0.75 bars only, max torque at 205Nm.

You are right it probably wont snap so easily, but its lifespan will be drastically reduced.
