@pftj i thought of doing that but when i tried there was just too much empty space at the right . The tree bark was sorta bokehed on the farright cuz i wanted to sorta make it as if theres a spot light on the lizard hence the sharp detail of the bark around the lizard and the lizard itself XD haha u definitely like your subjects a bit off the centre. I shud try some possibilities with it. The lizard was moving but not that fast. I used a 70-300 tamron for this shot.

Your photos from your compact and also handphones are really awesome- a good example that there's noneed for super expensive gears to get great shots, keep it up!
Happy shooting man, not sure whether you can see sunset from there... if you can, then its going to superb~

Thank you, just practice more.
Once you know the technique it will not be difficult to get similar shot like this.
And macro photography is actually much cheaper than i thought.
cropped body + tamron sp90 macro lens + smallest OEM flash (SB400 or 270EX mk2) + DIY diffuser can produce much better result than mine.
my equipment : 5dmk3 + 100mmL + 600EX + Stupid diffuser(cost more but lousier result lol )

RM300 only enough for a Raynox. 
I'm not sure what macro gear available for m3/4

Thanks man, appreciate it! I think the shot stands out because (luckily) the surrounding is grey colored cement and some dull-colored wilted leaves, and since the cat is white, this leaves only the blue of the kitten's eye, making it striking

However for macro shots, the NEX-3n will definitely have problems focusing. It will keep on hunting based on my experience. So it might be better to just use manual focus instead 

The trick to creamy bokeh using a kitlens is to shoot at its maximum focal length (50mm in this case) at its minimum aperture value (F5.6)
