I think I've read before, beetles or flying-bugs tend to take off when they climb to the peak of sticks/branches, that might help in setting up for a shot

Bumped up the colors for more vibrance, personally I think macro shots look better with wonderful colors

I did come across some metallic ones like this
The problem with photographing them is that they are faster than 1/250 shutter speed, which is the maximum allowed for sync flash
Might have some better chance when I have a macro lens and I can shoot from slight farther
