yes..it is smaller in actual size..I read it from somewhere..(from the magazine itself I think)  biggrin.gif
having diff model aircraft, with same scale, be put side by side, can enhance the imagination.. biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif

Yup, I read that right too. BF109 is indeed smaller. I posted this pic couple of times but to save you the hassle of looking for it... here is the size comparison of the WW2 and a moderm F-14 fighter in the same scale of 1:72...

can't remember the list..the mags is at home..

but I do remember there's still 1:72 from issue #4 to 8...like the Hurricane, some biplane..

niceeeee..

imagine there's 1:72 bomber in the bunch..double nice.. biggrin.gif

It will cost a lot of $$$ and I will have trouble putting it up on display.

As you can see the size of modern fighter at 1:72, Ameer won't dare to make it that scale or they will be out of $$$ wink.gif

Guys, i was fed up on seeing the wheels of the mig, so i decided to get rid of it..well,utrn out to be that eventualy, the wheels and its covers and not properly done..its bad modelling i would say..but hey, if you want acurate model,do it by yourself!

Or you can buy those bigger scale diecast planes as alternative.

Anyway, from what I can see or guessing... the WWII planes will look better than the modern ones...

sweat.gif Don't follow some of the members here. Some are rich guys who can afford few hundreds for a scaled model.
And that's not their only hobbies and collectibles.  wink.gif

Hard to say... you can get easily poisoned into it. For now, focus on this thread, Vasanth and you'll be ok. wink.gif

Weird thing is the red baron's tri-plane has a bit of oil covering the whole plane...

Ic ic... I had to use those cotton bud to remove the excess oil. But anyway, it does give the red a bit of shinny gloss to it...

aquilaTE: How the quality of the plane? Nice? I haven't go collect mine, dam busy recently. Plan to collect together withnext issue. Do u grab any new haul recently? Seldom see u post in V11 ad...
*
So far, the planes have been well built for that scale. I was skeptical with tri-plane but the painting is quite good. The Mig 29 built is ok, but with the given the colour scheme, can't say much but boring in my opinion.

I dun post much but still reading the diecast forum. No new hauls lately. Me been tight with budget.

Not that well built. Have to return the ME 109 once  due to loose propeller.
*
ic. Well, so far all fighters are ok with the exception of a really tiny piece on the wing of the tri-plane that came off and resting on the oily wing. The bombers on the other hand, most are in sorry state safe the B-17.

hmm.gif Is it? These parts from diecast wo, not molding. Futhermore, the paint process should be later process.
*
Yup, Fubar is right... I think it's to keep the planes from rusting. Can't be from machining... I tell you when I first out my red baron, it was like pools of oil on the wings. I just left it out in the open to let the oil gets evaporated a bit more.

I just gotten back from Allscript and my all heck loads of my missing fighter planes issues. While I was looking at the Harrier, it states it's 1:72 but comparing to my F-14 1:72 and the other 1:100 in other issues, it's safe to say the Harrier is actually in 1:100 instead of 1:72.
