act i also wanna buy , but i ask d seller to print screen rivatuner properties, he ignore me .. from d rivatuner there, we can noe wheter it can b softmodded to 6600 or not... d seller dun even p;ost anything photo, 3dmarks etc...

haha..look at the 3rd highest ..it a normal 6200 with 128bit i bet. Should be the 1 by msi.

Anyway...rm260 for a 128bit 6200 is a good deal. Softmod or not..already beat 9600XT..softmod is just a bonus here

No need rivatuner le...MSI only produce 6200 with NV43 A4 (Locked) core.Even my ex 6200 also A4. Anyway..like dark said..it just a bonus if it can softmod. Oc it and guarentee kick 9600XT asre hard hard.

Take a look at the 3rd score on the board.sure it a 128bit normal 6200. It too low to consider softmoded..and too low to have gddr3.

in d real facts, 9600xt>6200 128bit> 9550xt>9550gt>6200 64bit

msi onli produce nv43 a4 a.. wat a shame... if a2 or a3, then can softmod..

low yat 82, If u flash 6200 with softmod bios...i mean the bios that unlock 6600 feature except the pipeline...it will have even higher price/performence ratio. And rmb that 9600XT engine was design last 2-3years ago..while 6200 is just not long ago. Sure newer tech have more advantage over old tech.

Actually...if a normal 128bit 6200 with a good cooling..pump the core to 600mhz like wat i do. 3dmark2003 sure increase like mad. Even 550mhz is enuff..default is only 350..and only give u 4k score.

Aopen do produce A1 and A2 core..but it kinda too late to grab it now.

I not sure how good is Nv44 core..but i know that Nv43 core very ocable..can easily increase the core from 350>550-600.

mm....can i ask u something, how can u increase so high coz when im using rivatuner it blocks me from increasind wheter it is core or memory..
im using nv44

Check under Riva Tuner Power user . Change the script. Btw..i think Nv44 not that ocable. Nv43 is cripple down from 6600 core. Since 6600GT can handle 600mhz with 8pipe ..so of course 6200 can do 600+ for core with 4 pipe..since it colder with 4 pipe disable.

which 6200 are you referring to?

i think it would better to give the thread starter a more elaborate picture on what the 6 200 CAN or CANNOT do, or even CAN do IF something was done.

siauann, i'm not saying 6200 is a bad card - i myself bought one, just haven't tested.

sorry if i've misled you - i'm saying that i find that changing from 5200 to 6200 is a waste of money if your usage is just for very simple things that even the 5200 can do.

Cyclone's 6200 results are from overclocking and such nevertheless and impressive score, beating my friend's score with 6600GT stock

btw cyclone, your is 128bit version right? mine is 64bit version. wanted to test out last night but PSU don't have 24pins.

i think scclone is referring to 128bit version, coz 64bit is lessthan rm230.. if u wanna oc for d 64bit version, u cannot use d latest driver coz it will hang, u can onli use 81.33 and below..

my 2nd rig has recently been upgraded - no time to setup. last night when i setup, i jus remember the PSU not compatible. cos old setup using 20pin PSU.

ermm... i use 20pin psu at nf8(24pin mobo) issit ok? it still running and i dun find any prob..

Dont look my score . Look at the 3rd and 2nd....i sure 3rd is on normal 6200 128bit. 2nd seem highly OC.
