Partied rockroll last night hitting Act 3. The results weren't exactly as great as he claimed, you have to discount some exaggeration into it, but nonetheless, he can tank.

But if you were to ask me, no way DH can tank better than barb/monks. Heck, to think of it, I think even a wizard is much better. They have spells that permanently freeze mobs including elites.

Barbs are probably the best tanks in game, with shitty equips, they can still tank alot better than a well equipped monk, they just need a good weapon. This coming from a monk friend of mine.

Wow, with that build, you will be facerolling inferno.

Dex, weapon dps, IAS, crit chance, crit dmg.

Lol, you're telling me you never buy any gears up till Act 2 Inferno? Plsssssssssssssssss.

I'm playing HC now so I have my fair share of going through noobs stage. I can savely say stacking vit + dex already feels like a tank in normal/NM. Use skills like brooding and your hp might not even budge. You don't even need a shield xD.

Different story for hell and inferno though.

Added on August 16, 2012, 2:04 pmGiven a choice, I will still prefer a DH that can deal massive amount of dmg but can only take limited hits (3-4) rather than a DH that can survive plenty of hits but kills awefully slow. The high dps with plenty of evasive skills but low survivability is one of the main points why rolled a DH and has still stick with it ever since. I've yet to get bored for my DH lolx.

My build and equips that allows me to go through Act 3 quite comfortably. Do note that I am mf equips on my hat and amulet (both of which I've found). Will be even easier if I swap those with dex + vit equips. Initially those equips were meant to farm lower acts but found soon enough that I could equally survive decently in A3 so I've used it since. With it, I found 4-5 legendaries and 1 set item so it's pretty cool.
