QUOTE(present me @ Sep 1 2012, 06:04 PM)
Hi bro well, ur gear for offhand sword or dagger doesn't matter now as long as u like ,u going for DPS the passive skill use weapon master add 10%dmg,  if just ur gear have enough c.chance 27%around?

Cos if u have 27%c.chance in ur gear + ruthless 10%+ base 5% + battle rage (into the fray )3% buffed = 50%c. Chance. already perfect
So Atk spd doesn't matter for ww tornado...

present me don't keep emphasize on the dps counter without realising the mechanics behind Whirlwind and Run like the wind. The main purpose of capitalising on the OH attack speed is to generate more hits within the mini cyclones to proc more critical hits in return. You can have a shitload of dps but what's the use when you burn more rage than you actually can generate? He's looking to improve by storming the map fast. That should all comes down to how much rage you can gain from the white mobs while merely relying on the sprint-created-cyclone. Arguably, you NEED a fast OH to squeeze as much hits as possible from 1 mini-cyclone without even utilizing Whirlwind. That way, you can chain your enemies and just run pass them till you actually see a Champion/Elite pack.

So biatche, you should refer to this table:

APS__TPS
0.90 3.00
1.01 3.33
1.12 3.67
1.18 4.00
1.33 4.33
1.44 4.67
1.54 5.00
1.67 5.67
1.82 6.00
2.00 6.67
2.23 7.67

Hence you can see, there are no diminishing returns. As APS goes up, ticks per second increase in linear proportion. By themselves, cyclone hits aren’t a huge generator of damage (Whirlwind inflicts more of the direct damage), but cyclone ticks are most of the ballgame in terms of generating the Fury that powers WW, plus the crits for LoH to keep you alive, plus the crits that have other big effects like extending WOTB duration. So stacking IAS/ASI pays big dividends until you reach whatever point you find gives you enough hits/crits from your cyclones, after which any further weapon speed stacking is gravy.

So you'll see that increasing the attack speed to the base speed of a weapon causes a linear increase to cyclone tick rates. So you can plan properly whether the 0.1 attack would allow you to gain ONE extra tick from the mini tornado. If none, then you are safe to plan that upgrade to a sword instead of a dagger. smile.gif

" is not easy. so don't go simply assuming everybody can just achieve that figure without spending a billion gold on it.

that's why we need reliable mathcraft to come out with the figures. Like I said biatche, refer to the graph to see whether your cyclone tick would be affected by the change in attack speed. If it doesn't go down by a tick or two, then go for the upgrade. If not, I'd recommend you stay till you got a better one. smile.gif

Though I'd really love to have a sword upgrade and contemplating one myself since I was using a hybrid WW cookie cutter build.

present me, it would be much more helpful if you try explaining the logic and mathcraft behind all your endeavours. I find it funny how you managed to just get through everyone with just a standard answer like

" 1 need AR 1k buffed from wc
2 need dmg reduction 70% around buffed from wc
3 armor 7k around buffed
4 HP 40K above
5 c.chance 40%around buffed v BR
6 LoH 1800 minimum "

without explaining the reason behind those figures or what contributed to the amount stated above. Atleast, explain how to optimize MH and OH and how stat distribution goes.
