I think it's best if you guys stop splitting into this pro Kenny, anti kenny group. He is sacked. All done and dusted. Please stop name calling, sarcasm that might lead to "cyber war" in this thread.

QUOTE(rushmode @ May 23 2012, 09:25 PM) what would FSG that being labeled obsessed with statistics would choose Martinez anyway? his record with wigan is not that impressive isn't it? Buy a cane for AVB...Those not listening to him, cane their asses. AVB is 34 years old.. can he control the players? granted our squad don't have alot of primadona like chelsea.. maybe apart from gerrard and carra. but still the player gonna have hard times to look at him as authoritative figure. |

Jenkins said in a statement: ‘Following on from discussions with Liverpool’s owners, Brendan has informed us that he would like to take up their offer to manage Liverpool.
At the moment we are in talks to agree compensation. We are trying to finalise that within the next 24 hours. Although we didn’t wish to lose an outstanding young manager, we didn’t wish to stand in his way.’ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's official then... |

QUOTE(hfi @ Jun 1 2012, 04:10 PM) As i've said, he has already agreed terms with Swansea. But he's yet to sign the contract which was due last Wednesday. So people are speculating that he may have second thoughts. But i think it's more to do with the player waiting to see who Swansea will appoint as a manager before committing. Any chance of us hijacking the deal?QUOTE After Steve Coppell resigned as Reading manager, Rodgers quickly became the favourite to replace him.He later distanced himself from leaving Watford, stating his "concentration is fully on Watford". and that those linking him with other clubs were questioning his integrity.[13] Rodgers agreed a deal to become the manager of Reading on 5 June 2009, after a compensation package of an initial £500,000 had been agreed, which rose to £1 million.[ Sounds pretty similar when he ruled himself out for the job last 2 week? Next time if he tell us his concentration is with Liverpool FC, DO NOT Believe.... What a liar |

Apparently Danny Wilson just spoke out that he hoped his career can back on track with new manager in charge now. Poor lad. One year left in his contract and have no idea what's going on for the next 12months. No director of football to ask about, old gaffers get sacked.

QUOTE But Rodgers said: 'I have the ultimate respect for Kenny Dalglish. My door is always open for Kenny Dalglish. This is his home. [QUOTE]'As the chairman said, he is the heart and soul of this club. His love for this club is unrivalled. He is the best player in the history of this club. 'This is a prestigious club and this is a guy who has a wonderful history here and will continue to have a great future in terms of Liverpool. I can’t worry about that. I can’t say anymore about a man I respect. 'The only way you can overcome that is by winning. 'I am not here to win any race or competition. 'But what I know is history judges you as a manager and hopefully in time people will look back at what I have achieved here and I can walk beside these people. 'But there is no way I can try and overtake someone like Kenny Dalglish. All I can do is be myself.' What a man. Wise with words and good when dealing with press. |

QUOTE "From our point of view, we did all the right things. We approached the clubs we needed to approach, and conducted ourselves properly at all times. "It is disappointing, then, that Dave Whelan felt the need to run the kind of sideshow he conducted via Sky Sports News and various other media outlets. "To be honest, I always thought John Bishop was the biggest comedian in the north west, but Dave Whelan seems to have taken that mantle over the last couple of weeks! Ayre had a dig on Whelan. |
