Well, i want a change of manager indeed, but please not a mid table team manager like Martinez.

It's a bit unfair to write him off at this point though, I don't rate him highly and so does Wigan, no offense.

Why the heck FSG is not bringing Rafa back continues to baffle me.

Gasping for air? We have so many managers who are more qualified and reputable than Martinez available at the moment.

Rafa Benitez, Capello, Hiddink just to name a few.

Not happy with the selection of Martinez doesn't mean we are regretting our stand to replace Kenny Dalglish.

Capische? You clearly still bitter about the decision to remove KK and trying to vent your little childish frustation on non KD supporters.

Asking who are we going to appoint as the next manager to replace a manager that we don't even know yet.

Let's gain some perspective la. Modern day football is a results based industry. It's up to the management team and the boardroom to get results on the pitch and deal with the day to day business operations of increasing revenue. It's a reality we all have to accept. Moores and Parry were guilty of being short-sighted, not wanting the club to be sold to non-Liverpool fans, and not wanting to "sell our souls" to corporations. They wanted to keep the club local. This is all well and good except for the fact that everyone else has already to some extend sacrificed identity for profit. A necessary evil in today's game.

We are fans however and we can afford to be sentimental. We don't make the business decisions. Our primary duty is to support the club through thick and thin and if we do contribute to the business, we do so via memorabilia and merchandise. Wanting success and trophies doesn't have to come at the expense of sentiment. We can still show a quiet appreciation to one of our own who has tried and failed. We can still talk about the past and reminisce because it reminds us who were are as LFC, the past glories and legendary stories. If we didn't, would our expectations be so high? Would there be pressure on us each season to contest for Europe? The classic mistake between those accusing us of living in the past is assuming that we are all good with being former champions living in past glory. Wrong. We appreciate the past means we realise how precious victory is and we don't take it for granted having fallen from grace. It's why we savour even small moments like a League Cup victory. We want the Premiership but it doesn't mean we should take anything else that comes along the way for granted, arrogantly dismissing it as not good enough for us. We can be ambitious and humble at the same time. 

I would not want to see us relegated but I would also never want us to lose our soul. The former is up to the manager and the owners. As for the latter, it is the duty of the fans to ensure that we never lose our identity and we continue to remind those after us of our traditions, history and culture. Without any of that, we are no different from anyone else.
