1. For premium, how should we start the car if the button start is not working. is there any manual way to start the car?

2. For premium, how do we unlock the car door if alarm is not working. this is because i no see any key hold at the driver's door.

for now this is what i really wanna find out first.

guys,

so the chances of putting alternative colour of your choice is option to get your car faster? i mean i would prefer it red. but due to red wasnt a good colour to attend a funeral i would like a blue or elegant brown. but my wife prefer it silver. so i guess i will just give this 3 colour in. see which every available i will take.

Hi Guys,

before i make a booking later tonight. i serious wanna answer for soem doubt bothering me right now. i hope anyone of you could help me out here before i place my booking for preve and not exora.

below are those doubt which bothering me right now.

1. for premium spec. is there any alternative way to start the car without the alarm by just using the key? i am concern what if the alarm broken whereby you are hundreds miles away from the spare alarm.

2. for premium spec. i read some forums that there is a security features in this spec where it will detect any faulty parts in the car first before u can drive. if they detected the some car parts are faulty, it will refuse the car to start. can this features can be off?

3. for executive spec. hows the petrol consumption at this spec? can full tank run 340km+ in full city drive?

i do hope anyone of you can help me out on the above.

thank you and have a good day ahead.

This is normal. Even the merc keyless start is like that. There is no manual way to start the engine.  Last time my key got no battery, I have to call my wife to send me the spare key.

*
huh.... thats a bit scary. so which mean the key in the alarms are mainly for you to lock/unlock the car door only. huh.....

Yes. the key is just to onlock/lock the car manually.
hmm... normally this type of key is quite expensive. The merc key cost almost RM 2K.
*
wat? RM2k for a car remote? huh..... guess i will think about it. as some of u complaint. a reverse camera is lacking. i already asked my SA to find out the price of installing 1 from the factory before delivery. will update how much it gonna cost me here later.

about the safety car features which check your car's part before allow to start. anyone of u all faced it before? i heard to tow car to the nearest services center is all covered within the 5 years from proton. anyone can confirm that?

ur case rite.. got possibility that ur SA go and gip u the car but actually already belong to someone else OR someone else pull rank and take it from her. but good news is at least your bank loan not yet jalan yet. i believe the moment they take the money from the bank your loan start counting d. So you can actually call the bank agent and find out what is the status now. And did they use the old chassis number to take the bank loan. If they did... might be a good option for a law suit. Since they also consider con the bank....
*

i dont think the bank will release the loan to your SA. u have to sign the document when u collecting the car from showroom together with the acceptant of the car.

his case is a bit weird because its so weird that once you pay your deposit and prepared all sufficient document for Loan. SA will submit your application to bank with 1-3 days. once bank receive the application it will pass for processing. first they will check your record on all the financial system for any "bad record".

once checking clear. they will call and verify your employer and borrower details to confirm those details are correct. if everything without problem. loan will be approve with 2-3 days and they will inform your SA that your loan status.

SA will place an order to car manufacturer and pending car manufacturer to allocate unit for you. once allocation done. manufacturer will inform SA and SA will confirm with buyer. once buyer confirm SA will inform manufacturer to lock down the unit and proceed some documentation and payment. getting a car in a week is highly possible if loan fast approval, ready stocks. take note.... most payment to manufacturer are actually "prepaid" so once your prepaid balance is lower than what u ordered. it will stop the processing but that car unit is locked to them until shop have money cash in again. this is why 1 of the forummer here booked later also can get a number 16** mainly because that unit is locked at manufacturer but shop have not enough cash to pay manufacturer. wait until the shop have money to pay manufacturer but the buyer waited too long and cancel the order.

once all the payment to manufacturer and documentation done. manufacturer will proceed to sent the car to respective shop. once shop received the car they will proceed call buyer to get ready the D/P and ask for registration of car details like no/ plate and so on. this is why if u are so free... u can get those document from your SA and proceed the registration yourself. or else SA will hire running to do it for u and they charge u RM50 - RM100 extra per registration.

once everything done. agent will call u back and arrange time to complete the transaction.

next thing, u get ready the D/P. go to the showroom and inspect your car. if everything no problem. you will pay the D/P and sing the loan documents and the car acceptant agreement.

please take note, the moment your SA call u to confirm allocation of car available for u and u said yes.... that car will be virtually bellong to u. so even u found anything tak ngam when u inspecting it at showroom. u dont wanna sign the acceptant agreement. u have no right anymore. thats because that engine already registered under your name and u are the owner by law. what they normally will ask u is take the car and go services center complain what u feel like not ngam....

the above is the process. might leave out something but it should be the whole pictures.

well explain. except the DP part. some SA do ask for DP before the car arrive the showroom. anyway i would prefer you include the thing you leave out as well just to make the whole story complete.

thxs

wait till i have more time. been few years i leave that industry so i have to really sit down and recall all back.

QUOTE(arthur88 @ May 22 2012, 03:05 PM)
the bold part, customer can get back deposit?
*
once SA called you that they have allocated a unit for u and u agree to take... RM500 gone. not only gone. u will have the responsibility to take up the remainder balance you owe the shop. once u dont sign the bank loan offer letter... u have to pay back the the shop with the agreed amount.

unless u found someone who willing to take on your behalf, but all the documentation have to redo and charges might apply. or u take the loan and get the car now and selll later... for that u will lost the interest to bank... either way... u are makeing a loses.

unless the withdraw party are shop. then u will get full refund plus find a lawyer and claim back all the resources u spent and the mental torture u have went thru with the shops for certain numbers of $. but... u need to have proof. sms, emails or any verbal conversation record. witness which can find to support your statement. and also signed paper date and etc etc.

remainder balance need to pay if the shop ady pay for the car...but in reality, would dealer do so? i think not, they just find another customer and sell it...so just lost deposit..
if now i just pay deposit RM500...submit doc for apply loan, i still can cancel and get back my deposit if SA havent allocate car for me, right?

if shop withdraw, do i need to go thru all the mess with lawyer bla bla...just to get RM500? dont think so....
i just get back my RM500 and find another dealer...
*
manufacturer will not have those services like our grand father time. no more pay once a month or once a week. no money no release car.... thats why some SA will tell u, u must pay ya d/p then only u can get the car in one week. because once u pay your d/p now. they can clear it with manufacturer and manufacturer will release the car in 1 or 2 days... that time they will have 3 days to register your card at JPJ. and pass to u. one ngam ngam 1 week.

if shop cancel the deal... normally they will give u back the RM500. but some ppl boh song(not Syok) so they will bring in legal method and settle the thing... but trust me... many shop will try to get into this kinda of legal case because it will affect their image to consumers.

other owners who ady get ur car...u guys pay d/p when the car is at showroom or before?
*
d/p should pay only when u collecting if you pay by cash. or else if u pay cheque... u have to wait till it clear. first before u can collect your car. SA also need to protect themselve.

fraud cases everywhere... not only manufacturer, buyer need to protect themself, SA too. I believe u do understand why.

let them bring the case to the court, under Akta8 Seksyen 402 clearly stated that we are not eligible to pay anything until the we received the car with y&c applied that the chassis number must match the agreement one. (My case)
