actually can just flash by Mobile Odin, tick Everoot to keep your root, follow Uncle Benny's style. 

anyone know hong kong ics and german ics official rom have any different?  currently using german ics no root.

maybe you the smoothness gone after you install too many apps that running in background?

I removed all the widgets on the home screen. I have Smooth Calender and MySolat widget only. The rest buttons in 2 home page.

Next FREEZING unwanted apps....

Depend on whats app you restored. I tried to reduce apps running at the background

Setting > Applications > Running

Check out there. Removed/Freeze the unwanted services/apps using Titanium backup

for me ICS HK version smoother than German ICS...

u should hit yes to install and then go to advance=reboot recovery..it will load abyss 4.2 kernel and do the wipe thing and installation using abyss kernel..after successful flash then go to reboot system and ur device will run RR V1..

HERE THE STEP:
1.boot to cwm recovery go to install and install abyss kernel 4.2
2.after successful install go to advance=reboot recovery
3.ur device will reboot back to recovery but this time will run abyss kernel recovery
4.go to wipe and do wipe data,cache and dalvik (if u didt want to wipe data just wipe cache and dalvik)
5.go to install and install RR v1
6.after successful install go to reboot system

ur device will reboot and will run RR V1..hope this will help u solve ur problem..

try load the rom file 1st..see if it will be auto loaded..if no just manually load laa..

ehh..that 1 i gave to u should be redcustomlogo..and the 1 u download should cworiginallogo

if that 1 also cannot then here another 1 kernel..

what really needed is the rom..but if u want to use the new bootloader then need to be flash using PC ODIN..

My SD card and phone is under removable in Win7.

Don't know what it is on Mac, just shows up on my desktop. 

did u try to etract the kernel from ur pc??sometime due to download error u cant flash the kernel??

are u on alba?coz i am on alba and it detects MTP(portable device)

well u can try this..whenever u wanna plug in ur note go to settings>more...>usb utilities>then choose yes(it will ask to disable usb debbugging)then after that connect ur note select connect to pc

Guys, downloading Taiwan ICS rom now. 40% now. download speed only at 34.4kb/s. So slow. 
From GB stock unrooted, use pc odin to flash, anyone encounter any problem? Thanks.
