"We'll sit down next week. Arsenal is a massive club, whatever happens I'll always love this club." RVP
This quote of RVP is like saying i m 70-30 will leave this club, whatever happen i'll always love this club!! I dont think he really show the Love, true gunner never think want to leave this club until they prove their self, like Thiery Henry. Sigh.... |

QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ May 14 2012, 09:01 AM) Troll Piers. No doubt that he did the great job with us for this season, but then if he decided to leave Arsenal i dont see how he LOVE Arsenal.Bouchra Now Arsene can we bring Titi back again ? [attachmentid=2839200] Have you not followed this season close enough? Here is a man who pretty much singled handedly dragged us to 3rd place, united the dressing room, took care of the young players, and became pretty much Mr Arsenal since Thierry Henry left. Not even Cesc Fabregas had the same effect as Robin did in terms of representing Arsenal's image. Saying so coz i dont think his job at Arsenal are finish nor as Arsenal Captain. MrArsenal? i dont think so, Thierry Henry n the real MrArsenal Tony Adam are true gunner, Look at what they bring to the club be4 thinking of moving to to Spain (Henry)? When Thierry decided to move on i think all of us also feel he deserve to go to Spain n move forward, with Fab we always wanted him to stay n feel he somehow ditch us b4 he done his job as Cap and repay the faith that Wenger show to them. Just my 2cent... i think for the past history show that Arsenal great player always win smth with the team n show really loyalty n faith to be true gunner. If player help the team to win championship n leave, Salute! coz the job is done, 6years no trophy n decide to leave? true gunner? |

QUOTE(kimhoong @ May 14 2012, 09:45 AM) Really an exciting ride we had this season, even for Arsenal fans like all of us here. +1 Despite not winning a trophy, the feeling of being nothing becoming the 3rd best is really a rewarding feeling! Supporting a football club is not only for the moment of winning trophies. It's about going through thick and thin with the club, giving support to the club especially when the club needs it the most and judge the club reasonably. Last but not for all, enjoy the game and what the club has brought to us. Well, it's always easy to become different football fans/supporters every years depending on who is the champions or potential champions, but I won't - if you do not know why, you simply do not understand football or what it means by being a fans/supporter ~ Even we didnt win any trophies 6season, i still go Mamak scream inside my heart that Arsenal will win back the League!! Gooooner... |

QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ May 14 2012, 09:52 AM) We'll have to disagree here. I don't think anyone can blame Robin if he chooses to leave for a bigger club that offers a higher chance of winning trophies. After all, if he wasn't ambitious we would probably turn around and accuse him for being complacent and unmotivated. Then let us all wait for the good news that our Beloved RVP leave Arsenal coz he love Arsenal and done his job in professional way. There is not a single doubt that he has been the ultimate role model for the club and has played his heart out this season, or any other season before this. While being off the pitch, he has behaved in a professional way - praising and protecting his team mates, instilling belief, staying positive, organising bonding activities etc. That's all we can ask from a player, and if this doesn't prove that he is a true gunner, nothing will. Not even Thierry Henry, who is quite a limelight hogger (can't blame him, he is indeed that charismatic), offered more in terms of team spirit. And as for Fabs, I guess most of us loved him for his quality and professionalism but personally I don't think I have as much affection for him as compared what I have for Titi, Robin, Dennis, and of course Bobby. |

QUOTE(sickx @ May 14 2012, 10:24 AM) Com'n dude, pls read it properly!!Its just my 2cent, why so serious? If you think he deserve the respect for thinking to leave Arsenal so be it, no hard feeling. My support for Arsenal is unquestionable, i really think as Goonner, we need to so faith to the team, not as individual, if a simple Loyalty toward the club is in doubt, what are the different between you, RVP with na$ri? Just go play/support MC or MU better. Done discussing this issue, hope all of us move on. Pray he sign for us in coming week! |

QUOTE(sickx @ May 14 2012, 10:41 AM) look back at what you wrote. Read back, i didnt said he said want to leave, i said he probaly thinking to leave.. he didn't even say that he'll be leaving. he said that he always love the club. if he want to leave the club, why would he even want to sit down with Wenger and the board members next week to discuss his future? he could just refuse to sit with them and wait for offer just like what Flamini and Nasri did. all this while RVP already said that he'll discuss about it at the end of the season and all along he mentioned about how he love the club, how important the club to him. he didn't give a slight indication of he want bigger salary nor leaving the club for glory. why can't you believe him? sorry i'm a bit serious with this but i'm tired of seeing fellow fans that don't have any trust on the club, manager or players. Of course he wont indicate that he want Bigger Salary, but if Arsenal didnt offer him bigger salary you think he wont leave? Arsenal n AW already show we still very ambitious to win the League next year by singing Podolski and more to came, what can RVP ask for? what do you think it will discuss? of course $$.. Added on May 14, 2012, 10:49 am QUOTE(liez @ May 14 2012, 10:45 AM) Chill... Opinion differs. Personality differs. So does way of expression. Some express it alil more sarcastic than the other, some are more direct, some are indirect, some with humors and some are with huge impact. The message sent across comes to a same conclusion. I agree with "I don't really concern 'too much'. We may lose him some days later if not for now. Again I said he is 29 now, 30 next season."But like I said, sign or not. I don't really concern 'too much'. We may lose him some days later if not for now. Again I said he is 29 now, 30 next season. He came to us as a 21 years old lad. From 21 to 29 he spend his 'entire' career playing for us. Its just sarks that he didn't come a season earlier so being part of the invincible like Clichy. So a player spent his entire career with us, not blaming or complaining for the lack of trophy, even if he goes, we should thank him for all his time with us. He didn't get mega bucks from us, only 90k a week thats even lower than some 2nd 3rd class player of city, nasri gets his double, balotelli is even more than him. money aside because I believed V.Persie is not the type that hungers for money. We should relieve ourselves for pressuring him to SIGN SIGN SIGN the contract. Instead, if he really DOES go, we should wished him all the best and go to a club that can confirm winning league titles seasons after seasons like Borrusia Dortmund, Real Madrid and Juventus or Milan. He is already 30 next year, as far as I hope he retired in Arsenal like Bergkamp I do hope he gets more silverware and medals before he retires. Thats in my opinion. QUOTE(ashburn98 @ May 14 2012, 12:01 PM) RvP will sign the contract if the board can offer him 150k-180k pound per week, less than that i doubt he will stay.Club like ManC, Real Madrid, and Barca will no problem paying him 200k per week, so i dont see 130k lesser will make him stay. All we can do is hope Board will at least match what he wanted to him to stay. |

QUOTE(fcuk90 @ May 15 2012, 07:35 PM) If the board give the 5M pound i think should be no problem, it will be like 268,00pound per/week not include bonus. No reason RvP to said no!! 5,000,000pound / 3years contract / 12moth = 168,888pound per week. Added on May 15, 2012, 7:43 pm QUOTE(fcuk90 @ May 15 2012, 07:35 PM) 5M pound is loyalty la, not bonus. QUOTE(ahaksz28 @ May 16 2012, 04:15 PM) I think few months ago AW did mentioned that Arsenal will not let go RVP even if he's not extends his current contract. Which mean Arsenal are ready to let him go for FREE next season if RVP do not sign any contract extension this summer. Thats not going to happen... if citeh offer 30m pound, Wenger cannot said no to that. If yes then Na$ri wont be sold d.Money is still Money... with that 30m Wenger can get player as good as RvP also. |

RVP is want more $$$ thats no denied, but i think if Arsenal manage to meet his demand he will stay.
In mid season already got rumous citeh are preparing to make him the highest pay footballer in EPL with staggering 250k per week. thats why he want to wait till end of season to see what Arsenal are willing to pay. Brilliant move i would said, at least give the Director and Wenger to think carefull be4 offer, if he sign during the Mid season he also know wont have much increment at his salary. In my opinion, its better he can stay, but if he leave pls dont go to citeh, go Italy or Spain then at least we wont be rage by his action like Na$ri. |
