if i were a footballer this is my perception of the clubs below:-
perhaps a lil bias, but just for fun
Man Utd - Great choice, decent money..proven and able to compete for trophies
City - New generation, great choice, great money..able to compete for trophies
Chelsea - Good money, able to compete for trophies
Arsenal - Average money, Club image(style of play), a lil short to compete for trophies,
Liverpool - No offense but i really dunno what to put here, 5 times UCL and 18 times PL i guess
Tottenham - Average money, competing for top 4, got potential
What i am really trying to say is
the foundation and image that Wenger has built in Arsenal is baring fruit and playing its role
because despite us not winning trophies for 6-7 years now,
there are still big players out there who are still keen to join us
Realistically, if we were to Seed who would win the BPL trophy this coming season
It's likely that City,Chelsea and United are Seed 1,we are probably at Seed 2
as a player given a choice most players would choose seed 1 teams on a blink!
If what Giroud said is true, about him rejecting Chelsea over Arsenal for our style
(Reject more money and arguably reject a better chance in winning trophies?)
It simply means our club image is still there to attract,
That said, Arsenal can't take it for granted, this thing that we are using to lure players won't be there forever.
The image of the club is like an Armor, but it is beginning to worn out over the years
Maybe i am wrong to say this, yes i know Liverpool has won 5 UCL and 18 premier league titles
but i feel the core and foundation of Liverpool is slowly fading away, at their current state it is going to be somewhat difficult to rebuild it, their Anfield isn't really a fortress anymore,
i reckon they would need to kick start their rebuilding process by winning the BPL,
regardless of who they sign, they gotta win the BPL again....
Perhaps they are having some difficulties attracting big players now,
not being in the UCL really damages a lot of things
if we continue our drought,
i feel this image of ours will eventually fade away some day and perhaps we might just end up like Liverpool
We gotta win! gotta re-polish that worn out Armor, that Arsenal crest
2 really positive signings, and the like the rest mentioned...exciting times ahead! COYG
after writing a long story, i am not even sure if what i said make sense or just plain rubbish
